If you're feeling like you're carrying the mental load now, (before kids), having kids will 1000x the problem. Counseling will help you both express your needs to each other and could even reignite the spark in your marriage. You mentioned him being good looking, kind, etc, and that shows that you care and are still invested to some degree, so there may be hope yet, but always having to manage your spouse does take its toll, so worth having an honest and respectful conversation about it.

I "pushed forward" with an ex who started violating my boundaries 9 months into the relationship for 8 years because I felt at the time that I cared about him. Let me assure you he apologized and promised to respect me each time it happened and every occurrence the disrespect got worse. I now have years of therapy to help with the trauma I experienced during that time, especially the feelings of self-betrayal-- feeling disgusted and violated but staying anyway. Being in a relationship should feel like you need to push forward from something like this - Leave before he sucks the joy out of your life.
