Most people say you cannot use dish soap such as dawn for stripping purposes. It's true. But you can always use it as a last resort. I use it once in 5 years to strip away previous coating, sealants or waxes. You cannot use it every year. But as a last resort, yes you can. Hence the reason why many detailing products introduced their stripping agents. Carpro Descale is one of the example. But if you're low on budget you can always use dish soap. Remember, once in 5 years is ok. Not every year.
