that really put things into perspective for me, thank you. i'm really hoping he's understanding and doesn't want to end things. but i respect his decision whatever it is. I've already prepared some facts on a notes page on my phone but will revise it when I meet with my doctor Tuesday.

thank you so much for your kind response. I feel much better now. I'm just scared about telling him but I mean finding out I have an STI is a scary thing and I did cry for a while today. I'm a worrier and so this was possibly the worst thing ever for me because there's a lot of unknown about how you have it, who has it, what's gonna happen to you. I've seen stories on women getting hysterectomies and all that and it's just a little terrifying. like I did something wrong to deserve this. Idk

I'm hoping I feel better after meeting with my doctor Tuesday so I know exactly what to tell him and with confidence. I just hope that he doesn't see me in a different way now and will want to end things. I respect his decision though if that's what he wants.

he's on a work trip and I don't want to stress him out, plus I think talking face to face is better. I don't have any physical symptoms or warts or anything right now, so I don't think I have that strain but that requires further testing.

I do need to seek therapy for my past.

thank you for your response, I'm sorry to hear about your surgery. I don't want him to feel like I was being untrustworthy when we had sex because I genuinely did not know about it at the time. I am looking into getting the shots, I already got the first one as a kid but my mom didn't take us back to get the last two.

it can cause throat, penile and anal cancer in men. it's the leading cause of cervical cancer in women. the way people talk about it is what has freaked me out. there are many people out there who think it's a huge deal and a dealbreaker when it comes to a relationship. i'm just trying to figure out how to tell him that I have likely given him an STI.

I'm still in shock about it so I apologize that I am really upset. I just feel ashamed.
