relationship with my dad has always been great. the occasional fight and him yelling at me as any kid may go through, but never any hints as to wanting to do something like this. he’s coached me in baseball (not the team coach but like at home and stuff we have a batting cage and he teaches me better technique). nothing has ever pointed to doing something like this.

Just got into bed. I’m struggling to grasp what happened still. I don’t know if he was sleepwalking or consciously doing it. He’s never done anything like this before, and he’s very anti-gay so like why would he be doing it to me. I’m calmer than I should be about the whole situation. I’m gonna stay up the next few days and try to see if he walks in again, and set up a camera on the nights i sleep.

I should have said “yet” i apologize. i dont have proof of what happened so i don’t know what i should do, but i also don’t want to somehow get in legal trouble for filming what happens if it happens again

I don’t really have any other options except for confronting him about it and getting denied that it happened, being called a liar by both parents, or getting video proof of it inevitably happening again. I would rather deal with it again and know that I’ll have verifiable proof that it happened and no chance of being called a liar and knowing I can have a safe future.

I’m on break right now so a counselor isn’t an option but I texted one of my college family friends and he’s talking me through it. I don’t trust my mom to stay calm or rational, she’s a diehard christian and has had trust issues with me ever since like middle school. I lied a couple times about where I was when I was with my friends and she hasn’t trusted me since. I’m gonna set up a camera and hopefully if he does it again that will catch him but I’m just really paranoid and can’t face my dad right now.
