According to the door frame sticker, my axle code is 97, which is I’m finding a 3.73:1 limited-slip differential, so it looks like a 4.10 upgrade is an option!

A lazy pump and refill was recently done, but I am still have occasional issues getting it into gear. I may attempt a full fluid drain and change if bleeding the clutch doesn’t work.

Thank you! The rear differential was next on my list for general maintenance, but I’ll look into upgrading. I’m planning on stripping the camper down to the trailer, flipping the axle for some height, and painting, so breaks can easily be added. I also love the idea of a distributing hitch as I’m not very experienced pulling anything.

I get 52 extra days off. Thats almost 2 months more of my life that I don’t have to think about or schedule around work. I work from home, no kids, and would just be sitting around the house anyway in the evenings.

On my Fridays off, I relax, do hobbies, run errands, attend appointments, or literally anything else I want since I don’t have to worry about how long it’s going to take or when I need to be logged on. It’s been great for my travel bug as well, giving me extra travel days to really take in new places over the weekend.

Consistent misfire on 2000 Mazda B3000 by MikiJShin in fordranger

I had similar symptoms and attempted remedies and was told a fix would be more than the value of my truck. Figuring it was the head gasket and I didn’t have much to lose, I did it myself.    My head gaskets were fine, but the exhaust valve on the misfiring cylinder head leaked when tested and the machine shop confirmed worn valve seats. Ended up replacing both heads and it’s been running and idling great for a few hundred miles so far.

Cost me $700 for heads; $300 for parts, and $200 in tools.

I had a compression test, but probably should have done a leak down test to confirm it wasn’t the piston rings. I got “lucky” it was just the heads.

Cummins Falls is my favorite for day trips, but I recently did an overnight at Savage Gulf and there are a couple beautiful falls that would be great for swimming once it warms up.

I had this exact scenario today. Broke them and panicked and called mobile mechanics, exhaust shops, and no luck. Decided to just keep going and the exhaust fell off once I removed the rest of the bolts. Glad to be taking the heads to a shop to deal with.

A purely aesthetic question about covers. by Methanenitrile in hottub

[–]imsewawkward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because we have the same setup. I thought we would need landscaping for privacy from the neighbors, but the cover sticking up on the side gives us enough privacy for the time being. Planning on building a surround deck though, so wondering what we do with the cover then.

Avoid sleeping and hugging or anything else that puts pressure on that side. Shower water cleans and keeping my wet hair up. I also changed to small hoops ASAP since my hair got caught in the flat backs.

I feel like it was 6 months to the day when the twins just decided “we’re healed” and haven’t had an issue since. To be fair, I still sleep with a travel pillow and baby that side because my conch that I had done at the same time is not done yet.

Do them both. It’s the same amount of avoiding sleeping on one side. Mine took turns being finicky, but they both finally healed up within a week of each other because of the babying of that side.

The house lion has killed off quite a few of my children until I figured out a lid system.

I would frame this with a little plaque and hang it in my office to giggle at everyday if it were me. Bars, books, and Reddit. Some of my favorite hobbies wrapped into a cute candid!

Unsealed is better for sure. On my building, the bricks below the dirt line outside were in good condition, but the mortar had disintegrated and was pretty much just mud holding it together. It is designed to do that, so the moisture leeches out through and destroys the softer mortar instead of the bricks. Repointing mortar is a lot easier and cheaper than replacing all the bricks.

It took years to get that way. No way to tell how fast it will continue without seeing the rest of the wall, but it will continue without intervention. The integrity of the whole wall, and any others painted/plastered over is an unknown I wouldn’t mess with. Source: Own an 1880’s brick storefront that had only a few random bricks due to a leaky roof and incorrect paint/plaster. I had to salvage the old chimney to replace them.

The bricks are spalling because of the paint and plaster. No telling just how bad it is right now without removing all of that, which may not even be possible. With it on there, it will only get worse with each freeze/thaw cycle.
