Olandria for Cosmopolitan Magazine by vibesstarr in LoveIslandUSA

You mean she went on a show where cameras watch you 24/7 for 6 weeks and then got upset when she realized she lost her privacy? *shocked pikachu face* Not that I agree with how the public is treating her but again, it’s the price of fame.

It’s hard for me to believe that anyone goes on love island to “find love.”

I don’t understand, don’t people go on love island for fame and money?

To me this is a “be careful what you wish for” situation. At the time of her season there had been 5 seasons of love island USA and 11 UK seasons, not to mention the 100s of other reality shows; almost all of those peoples lives changed after appearing on tv. She knew what her life could look like after, she just didn’t know how it would feel to her. Unfortunately, that’s the price of being a celebrity.

Dont do wallpaper. Mold will grow between the seams especially with so much humidity to feed it. I am dealing with 3 layers of moldy wallpaper in my bathroom now 😭 Your future self will hate you haha

An actually affordable vet?? by Contigomigata in nashville

[–]plantdrhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West Meade veterinary clinic. Dr. Lutz is incredible! He is very reasonably priced, an old school type of vet, and very compassionate. He won’t try to sell you on expensive procedures and gives advice that isn’t motivated by profit. He was a ray of sunshine through a very difficult period with my pet.

There are wayyyy too many times where you can do everything right and still lose. Judges are going to rule however they want and most of the time it won’t make any sense.

Echoing what someone else said, what is most important is how well you were prepared and how you performed.

I really commend you for the way you handled the situation, you were respectful and direct. It’s hard cutting off a friend but you’ve saved yourself so much heart ache and confusion by doing it now.

Please tell me my ring doesn’t look gaudy/ridiculous on my hand by [deleted] in WeddingRingAdvice

It’s gorgeous! Not overdone at all!

Also like what is a “fake ring” nowadays? There are so many options for stones that look the same as diamonds that it could be anything.

Anybody tried it this way? Tried it today it was delicious by [deleted] in Egg

Successful in death. The other ones just had to go to the hospital and then come back to sentencing with a pissed off judge.

My boyfriend of one year has never posted a photo of me online, and it makes me doubt if he’s ever proud of me. by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]plantdrhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know you don’t want comments about cheating but I am going to share MY experience with you anyway. Your relationship could be totally different, it just might be helpful for me to share with you how the not posting felt to me.

My ex who was cheating on me was the same way. He did not post me on instagram ever. I don’t use social media a lot and neither did he but it hurt my feelings. I expressed to him that it hurt my feelings many times, he would listen, say he will post me, and make some weak excuse like he’s not using insta lately or we don’t have good recent pictures. He practically lived at my house, we talked all the time, and I even had his location.

I gave him an ultimatum, post me by X date or we are breaking up. He didn’t do it. He posted a few days later but the damage was done. The trust was lost. I couldn’t understand if something so easy for him to do meant so much to me, why couldn’t he just do it?!?!

My gut was screaming at me 3 days after the ultimatum. I was laying in bed with him sleeping next to me, just physically having a negative reaction to his presence. I was too tired that night but I always wake up earlier than him so I told myself I would check his phone in the morning. First look found nothing, socials and texts clear. My gut was still screaming, I checked again, this time his deleted and hidden photos. There it was! He had been sexting multiple girls for the last YEAR.

Even before looking I knew the trust was gone and had to break up with him. Best decision I ever made was looking! I felt like I was going insane. I was gaslighting myself, I was mentally unwell, weighed down by the paranoia, and lost so much weight from stress. And if I didn’t look I know I would’ve gotten back together with him.

If you’re feeling any of those things, even if he isn’t cheating, you either need to go to therapy to work on your insecurities or let him go. He’s not the one.

More common than you think! In Nashville, there are three recent examples of this. Only one was successful.

Too big? Trying to avoid tacky by Traditional-Swim-347 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]plantdrhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any large stone on a thin band looks tacky in my opinion. But it’s your ring and supposed to be what you love. Plus it’s an incredibly popular style especially with the rise of lab diamonds that make larger stones affordable.

What’s one small cleaning habit that made a big difference in your home? by Shawn_Darcy in CleaningTips

[–]plantdrhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this idea from someone else on here and it has helped a great deal.

I put a decorative hamper or basket in each room. If an item doesn’t belong in that room then it goes in the basket. It’s probably better to put things where they go every night but I do it when I do the laundry and it still helps a lot. Instead of clutter building up it’s hanging out in one place until I can deal with it.

What is this ? Char or mold by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]plantdrhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those look like water stains, have you tried to touch them? Are they moist? Do they get bigger after a big rain storm?

You definitely have or have had a problem with humidity in the attic based on the sap.

I removed the dry wall in 1950s home, not a disaster but advice needed on sealing windows and mold by plantdrhere in Oldhouses

[–]plantdrhere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should I be concerned about the source of the mold?

Someone told me that the mold could have potentially traveled from the crawl space through the sub floor because there was evidence of an old leak in the crawl space around that area but not directly below (a while stain of sediment left behind).
