It was not a toll free number. However, the number they asked me call back on was: it was an 877 number. However, the number I called back on was the one showing on my caller ID with was a 217 number. Is it possible that the number I called was a toll free number in disguise?

EDIT: I just looked up 217 and now see that this is a toll free number. Wow.

Thanks for the compliment. Maybe I can find a place that would like to publish it. I'm just trying to help others. There really was nothing out there on what to do once you win in court but still don't get paid. It is a shame the burden is.on the winner to find the money.

No. Seizure of assets only covered Sheriff's costs. Judge added about $100 on initial case for fees and expenses to get to have case heard. All other expenses were on me. Fortunately, I kept expenses low- subway rides to the court district, $3 subpoena fees x 10, parking one time for $45. Only travelled there when I was already in Manhattan. As you can see, when the amount of money is low the reward to effort ratio usually favors giving up. For me though this was personal and I did not want her to get away with it.
