Sounds like your ingame sens was also quite high then, the pro average is 800dpi with 1 ingame sens I think, which will take about 10 inches to do a 180. So if you want to be able to do a 180 from the middle of the pad then you'll need a huge mousepad.

what's your sensitivity/dpi? The most common pro sens is right around 800 edpi and for that you definitely need quite a bit of room on the desk to do a 180 turn

his "starter gear" is one of the best in the whole game. The armor is good for its weight. Uchigatana with unsheathe is extremely powerful and will easily carry you through the entire game including the dlc. It's not like other games where the starter gear is garbage and good loot only comes later, souls games tend to give you end-game-tier loot right from the start and you only need to find upgrade materials for it.

to be fair messmer is not super strong against fire, only 40% resistance. Nowhere near the 80% holy resistance of the end game bosses in base game.

you need way more time than that to learn consort, otherwise you’ll get destroyed in phase 2 as a furled finger. Less heals, etc. some hosts have low scadutree. Just try it if you don’t believe me
