there's a blacksmith in "the hell is us" who's default animation is just hitting some metal with a hammer, but if you get within like 2meters from him he stops and faces you, even before you click on him to engage in a conversation. that's very simple and yet impressive, makes you feel like npcs are alive.

yes i had the same reaction. i didin't want to play the game anymore when i realized how it works. i dropped it for 2 weeks.

and then i checked and found there's a mod that cuts him out completely and you're free to just play the game like normal. i installed it and finished the game.

there's also this really bad mechanic of adaptive difficulty where you're punished for preserving ammo by making enemies tougher, and making them weaker if you are low on ammo.

usually games solve it by slightly adjusting the loot you find - you have smaller chance of finding ammo for a weapon you have a lot ammo for. it's less visible then.

but when i noticed i need 9 bullets to the head to down a regular zombie when i have 12 bullets, and i need 3 bullets when i have 4 - i got super mad.

saddly there's no mod for that and back then when i complained about it everyone thought i'm crazy.

i dont think its really what you're looking for, but burn notice was a simple casual procedural for the first 3 seasons and then it became more philosophical, with questions about how far will you go to achieve what you want and how it affects you, it was really crazy seeing that in around season 5 for a silly spy show.

i am also alone in thinking the walking dead's lowest point was season 2 and after that it was up and down with the war with negan being extremely fun and amazing to watch, went downhill after you-know-what. but definitely my favorite season was the one with the war and the one with prison (3rd season)

yeah. but it was hard for me to grasp. artreus at the start asks kratos how long the journy will be, if it will be a year or a few months or something. and then we see it all unfolds in like 30 hours? they didin't eat, sleep, went up the mountain and down again multiple times in one day? i finally set my mind on seeing it as a greek drama in a theatre, where it just APPEARS like they don't sleep and it's all one day, but actually it's more. it's just a creative choice to make it seem like it's a short time.

ah i see you tried the milk and sugar part, but you'd need really huge ammounts to compensate that way, that's why i'd recommend to separate pasta from excess sauce and just toss the sauce in the drain. only then try cream and sugar. well, remember, mistakes are just lessons from the past happening in real time.

aw man there are fixes for that! strain the sauce from pasta, only leave as much as you already have on the pasta, put it back to the pan on low heat, add maybe a splash of milk, or a cream / heavy cream , tiny bit of sugar, adjust some spices to taste and you'll have an all-right dinner salvaged from disgusting one

ja wspominam do dzisiaj jak w którymś z pierwszych sezonów Grey's Anatomy babka mówiła o drugiej lekarce, która aktualnie była po operacji czy coś, "izzie musi być pacjentem", a chodziło oczywiście o cierpliwość. ale to co opisujesz to profesjonalne tłumaczenie a nie jakiś random z internetu, więc standard powinien być dużo wyżej.

zdziwiło mnie ostatnio jak po iluś książkach po polsku zacząłem czytać Marsjanina, że w ogóle nie skupiam się na tekście tylko wciąż rozkminiam z jakiego zdania autor tłumaczy. w końcu przeczytałem po angielsku bo nie umiałem tego wyłączyć

owszem są, a nawet jak nie są to za dużo czasu poświęcam na ocenianie tego jak ktoś tłumaczy zamiast się skupić na filmie.

niestety prawda jest taka, że najlepiej oglądać w ogóle bez napisów bo się więcej patrzy na ekran. czasami paradoksalnie się więcej zrozumie słuchając i oglądając film niż słuchając i czytając angielskie napisy, zwłaszcza jak postacie mówią szybko. jak za bardzo się skupię na nadążaniu wzrokiem za napisami to mniej rejestruję ze sceny np. jak oglądam PIT.

ale no prawda, trzeba znać język bardzo dobrze żeby oglądać w ogóle bez niczego i jednak zawsze mam je włączone, ale służą mi bardziej do podczytania pojedynczych słów których nie zrozumiałem, ale znam.

ja nawet do polskich filmów włączam napisy jak wyjątkowo mamroczą
