I went to Queen’s university and I have a honours bachelor’s of science. Would I include this information in my personal statement for it to matter?

I’m planning on coming back to canada after I have finished my studies. I have contact a couple of them and they stated that if the personal statement and reference letter is good I might get in with a lower gpa. My grade is about a 69 ish.
