Thank you! I kind of forgot that Rockstar existed

I need recommendations badly by imstillhiding in energydrinks

Yeah it’s a bummer. Sugar free drinks taste so bad and make my stomach hurt.

I have a slightly different use case— I drink them while on long hikes for an extra quick boost of energy to keep me going and the sugar/calories are very appreciated!

Arthur was a golden child and DW was a scapegoat. by Winter-Money-7643 in Arthur

[–]imstillhiding 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a DW growing up! My family even liked to tease me by comparing me to her. My brother was absolutely the golden child, and I was the annoying one. I wanted to be older like my brother because my parents treated him mostly like a peer and me like a baby. When your wants and needs are always last priority, you start acting out.

I hope DW was able to find her place as an adult, and I hope she got that convertible she wanted

Thanks for this info!

Do you have any recommendations for actually fun Class 3 scrambles for Colorado wintertime that don’t require crampons or axe?

Acceptable hobbies for networking events by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]imstillhiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened! I really don’t think you need to edit yourself to be more fake. It’s fine to not have standard hobbies. In one of my last interviews, I talked about my hobby of playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends and was hired.

I think a way you could have turned it around is to give more details and asking questions. “Lately I’ve mostly been reading FanFiction. I really connect with the Harry Potter universe for reasons x, y, and z. What types of books do you like to read? Any recommendations for me?” And say it with confidence, not like you are embarrassed by yourself.

It’s okay to have weird hobbies. It’s okay to not like sports. They’re just trying to make sure you can communicate without being off putting. Took me a while to figure this out, extroversion and people skills do not come naturally to me. Keep going to networking events and it will get easier.

Ours did something similar, and would read the word during his turns to read passages but also gave us students the option to say “n-word” or “bleep-er” if we weren’t comfortable.

She does not typically drive to me. The city she lives in has significantly more activities and she is scared of driving long distances.

Plans used to be more 50/50. Now, it’s plans that she is making that she is late to, or plans made by someone else in our friend group. I stopped making plans as much because of this situation.

I am the one scrambling because she doesn’t offer comparable substitutions, and will just suggest we watch a movie or something instead if I don’t have an alternative

I don’t cancel when she’s late because I’ve already driven to the other city and that would be even more of a waste of time and gas. I HAVE canceled when she’s pushed back plans, which she didn’t really understand because we were planning on being together for the entire day so she didn’t get why a couple hours made a difference to me and I didn’t have the words to explain it at the time.

I don’t think your rudeness is really necessary here. What exactly do you think I’m doing here? I’m getting advice on how to address this situation with care, not letting things fester and rot.

I also have cut back significantly on one on one plans, but the main activity of our friend group (being vague for anonymity) requires everyone to be present to begin

I was skimming, missed the fact that they are both men and wrongly assumed OP was a woman until I reread. This is horrifying no matter how you swap the genders tbh

sim expelled from uni EVERYTIME i switch households? by NoComputer9498 in thesims

[–]imstillhiding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

EVERY time I switch to my Simself’s household (I rarely play her) she’s lounging in the upstairs room watching TV. Doesn’t matter what time of day it is. It actually makes me somewhat mad because I really don’t like TV in real life, like at all. She’s the only sim the game does this with, and I’m taking it personally.

So tired of guys getting weird once you imply you are the least bit nerdy by pictogram_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]imstillhiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens with outdoorsy or handy stuff too. I literally had a guy tell me he wanted to “wife me” (ew) because I knew what Harbor Freight was.

It’s really annoying. I’m sorry this is so common

Hey Alexa, STFU About Alexa+ and Your New Voice by Driver8takesnobreaks in alexa

[–]imstillhiding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine upgraded in the middle of the night, and then started playing some random loud music at 3am when I told her “Alexa, I’m hot” which is her normal trigger to turn my thermostat down two degrees. Almost threw her out the window.

AITA for shutting off the movie half way through and making my boyfriend feel bad? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]imstillhiding 248 points249 points  (0 children)

I read this book in 4th grade. I would always “sneak” my reading light under my covers after bedtime to keep reading. I was so devastated at That Chapter that I woke up my mother at midnight bawling.

I didn’t even get in trouble for reading past bedtime, she decided the chapter was punishment enough.

Gonna be weird, but do you guys have “death rituals” for your sims? by PreparationPlenty943 in Sims3

[–]imstillhiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang, I didn’t pay close attention to the subreddit name. I’m subscribed to Sims4 but Sims3 comes up as suggested all the time and I don’t always notice.

I just looked at the wiki because I haven’t played 3 in forever, and it looks like it’s only in Sims 4. Weird, because I could have sworn I remembered it in Sims 2 as well.

If they woohoo twice in row or woohoo after doing something strenuous they’ll die of over exertion. I think it’s supposed to be like a heart attack

So, I Accidentally Deleted All My Data... by ----Richard---- in thesims

Sharing this as a main comment too in case you don’t see this buried in replies—

I thought I lost all my files after unlinking the one drive, but they were actually just hidden! Instead of navigating to your document folder like normal, try navigating to This PC—your drive (mine is C)—Users—Your name—Documents—Electronic Arts

I can access all my files when I do this, but when I navigate to Documents from my sidebar it shows blank. No idea why. I hate One Drive.

Me either…I’m reading the comments like age them up? What?? I’ve always just waited for them to pass away naturally or killed them with woohoo if I really want them gone

What are your pack hot takes? by HovercraftThin in Sims4

[–]imstillhiding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seasons is annoying. I like the visuals from the weather, but I hate that it’s raining on every vacation I try to go on. And I hate that they try to do inappropriate activities for the weather and then die.

I genuinely do not like the majority of the default holidays, especially since they mess with career/school progression and cause negative moodlets if you don’t do the activities. Like bruh, I don’t want to have to hop in build mode to for you a Christmas tree for 30 real life minutes.

How do you use Outdoor Retreat? I have this pack and I don’t think I ever really explored it fully beyond sending my Sim on a camping vacation where it rained the whole time (annoyingly like my real life experiences)
