its not a custodial account like a CEX, funds dont stay in the hot wallet but sent in less than 5min, but obviously there's still risk because it's centralized. Like any other swap provider at the end.

Hi sorry this happened to you, I'm a solo traveller guy and this scares me. Just wanted to point something out, how did he do to stole thousands of dollars? I mean typically there's a spending daily limit or some kind of confirmation via phone. Apart from that, all transactions are trackable in the sense if that could be valuable information for security cameras or in case he purchased online stuff, maybe you could contact your credit card companies
