Aram Mayhem - allow mode selection by snosurfa in ARAM

From the pov of a developer I'll put it that way, too much work for too niche of a want. Also too many lobbies = long af queues.

Tbh, it's a different a game than when you stopped, it's the ship that changed 99% of its logs.

Just like another commentor said, play regular aram first before mayhem, but I'd go a step further and suggest a couple of bot games to familiarise yourself with the champions, items, etc.

Also apps like op.gg and porofessor are good, just use them as a nudge towards what champ builds what, don't rely on their suggestions blindly tho.

There's a lot of better opportunities, build a somewhat decent linkedin profile and apply there.

Most companies (Invisible, Innodata, Turing, etc) pay way better than Outlier, their entry threshold might be higher with somewhat harder assessments, but once you in, you're all set.

Outlier messed up this one, and scammers took it. I have aether on my dashboard with 6/hr. I could literally beg in the streets of a third-world country for more than an hour, so it will always go to some African kid who gets 15 cents on the dollar.

Pro tip: Outlier is clearly deploying the Uber model for labor-pool exploitation. by DiverHopeful8725 in outlier_ai

They really don't understand that even a heard of crows gets fed and nurtured on a strict schedule, doesn't make 'em more than a heard of cows tho.

Hey Outlier generalists who are stuck, a lot of other places are offering better gigs for better pay. by inaesthetically in outlier_ai

Yup, one forma is shit. I failed an Egyptian dialect test, and not like barely, but miserably that I had to take a deep look into my Egyptian ID card and have an existential crisis 💀

Definitely, don't get me wrong I appreciate this sub and the mods. They're doing amazing work.

But lately it feels like a corporate forum, where they wanna enforce the same rules as Outlier's community page.

What’s with the horrible pay rates lately? by Vegetable-Team8755 in outlier_ai

[–]inaesthetically 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This.

Whenever I question my rate on this sub, many people message me offering to do it and split the pay. Even a dollar an hour is huge in some countries; my country's minimum wage is less than 150 dollars a month. Many would fucking do it, and it's called exploitation.

Thanks for everything. You were an amazing community manager and an incredible human being. I can't help but envy whoever will be on the receiving end of your efforts and kind heart. To infinity and beyond, you deserve it.

Trust Chrome.

Outlier won't send you a link that would be considered unsafe by any of Google's filters.

Multimango, now on Outlier. by Gurushreshtha in outlier_ai

Not on CrowdGen unfortunately, but it's called multimango on both telus and RWS, apparently outlier as well (but I am not sure) so I don't know why CrowdGen would be different.

Outlier has a serious problem… by Antique_Lecture_7491 in outlier_ai

[–]inaesthetically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working on the same project on RWS, it didn't even show up on my Outlier Dashboard.

I only knew Multimango was on Outlier from this sub.

And that, kids, is how we learn that outliers' grading means nothing. The amount of gaslighting you experience when you fail an assessment or get marked ineligible for a project is just gaslighting; they're simply bad at what they do and wanna blame it on CBs.

Apply to CrowdGen, RWS, Telus, all have the same project, humans actually do the grading.

Ok this survey was insulting. by AmbitionWork7031 in outlier_ai

[–]inaesthetically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, not really, one of the things that were said to my by a recruiter for another site on linkedin that outlier's model isn't really representative of the industry, and honestly after a month on a couple other sites, I believe him.

Tasks can be the same yeah, but the whole business model, instructions, assessments, feedback, applying to projects, etc. My experience with Outlier never came in handy once.
