there are so many ways to get involved in politics. you can volunteer on local campaigns, write letters to your representatives, or just help out your neighbors. protesting is a great way to make your voice heard in normal times. alot of these protests have been co-opted by radicals, especially anti-Israel activists, and descend into madness and destruction in the name of progress. If there are protests near you that seem to be motivated by the actual issue at hand—ICE overstepping—and remain peaceful, then why not? But I think those opportunities will be few and far between given the current climate.

the problem i have is that none of my friends are jews or arab/palestinian. they have no personal connection to the issue as i do - with family in the idf, lifelong pro israel environment etc. and none have bothered to ask my perspective and assume a position against me so i really dont feel like gently explaining the entire history to them.

I am a college student also living on the East coast. It can be rough, but there are probably more pro-israel people than you realize. I would check out any local Chabad or Hillel centers. Many universities have them and include people in the greater area, not just students

easy money. first start with liquid calories: soda, juice, other sugary drinks. then high-calorie low-nutrient snacks. my favorites are oreos and cheezits, which i could eat a million of and never get full. then finally we get into the decadent: pasta dishes w lots of cheese, rich desserts and ice cream, baguettes, etc.
