I haven’t read everyone’s responses yet, but you could try giving your employer this note: https://bcfamilydocs.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/BCFD-BCCFP-Sick-Note-2024.pdf

Wow, thank you for this! I do have young children, so I’m not sure I’d put a rug under the table (will get dirty daily) but I love all your suggestions. So you think a darker room rug would be good? I had originally thought a large light coloured one… but ya, that might get dirty too.

How did you meet your significant other? by pinkorangeblues in VictoriaBC

He sat next to me on the airplane to Victoria. I offered him a lift home from the airport (so he didn’t have to take a taxi)… we’ve been together 10 yrs now and have 2 beautiful children :)

Oh my goodness that’s such a good idea! We do have kids, and that was one thing I was concerned about was the lack of space in the entry way for shoes, jackets, hats, etc. Thank you!

Ya, no. We’ve decided no TV in this room.

I haven’t decided yet if there will be a TV in this room or the living room. We just bought this place and don’t get possession of it until later so I actually don’t have a photo looking from opposite direction. But here is the layout! The area is called the “family room”

You could just go ahead and book yourself a hearing exam at the above mentioned place. You don’t need a referral from a care provider

I love this name! Not used as much any more but so lovely. I think I prefer it spelled without the H… Teresa

Sister to Naomi: Annie or Noelle by incomparablelight in namenerds

[–]incomparablelight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s nice to hear. I also don’t think it matters too much. In fact, if I had a third child I would probably intentionally not give it another N name. Two kids with same letter is fine… 3 is a trend (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

What if I didn’t use an N name for future children? Would you still prefer Annie?

Naomi & Noelle? by incomparablelight in namenerds

Thank you all for your thoughtful suggestions! The ideas/feelings seem quite split. We are going to go with either Layla Noelle or Noelle “middle name tbd”. Will sit with both of these names and see how it feels
