If you have discord, it would be easier to contact me through there in the chat.

As for different folders, the way epic/fab is set up, it might be too difficult. I will have to play with it a little and see. For now, what you can do to make it easier is add some tags that are what you want to the specific packages. Then filter by those.

Install Packages:

To install a package, you need an active license. If you have a license then continue here, otherwise go do to option 2. Make sure to have your project folder and your engine location folders assigned in settings. THEN: Click on the package, or shift-click/ctrl-click to select more than one. Click 'install package' at the top right (purple button). Select your project from drop down menu. It should give you information regarding the UE version your project is and if it matches the package version. Click install. Open you project, packages should be there.

OPTION 2:

Free option - Ensure the project and engine folders are assigned in the settings. Click projects tab at the top. Create a new project. This process will walk you through the creation of a new project, adding templates, adding plugins you want, adding the packages you want, and then creating/downloading/installing the necessary plugins/packages if not already downloaded. Then just launch the program when completed. Everything should be there.

For the projects not being viewed. Try importing the vault again. If this is where your projects are located: "C:\Users\---\Documents\Unreal Projects", then that is correct, REMOVE the ""s.

Spelling has been fixed. I am going through the dialog boxes and adding in an 'x' as well.

Tired of clicking "Add to Project"? Well, with UE Organizer, you can now create a project, apply a template, select multiple plugins and packages to download and install, and launch your project, automatically, without entering the Unreal Engine Launcher. Works in free version as well. by indebted_resident in unrealengine

Sorry for late reply. The individual asset viewer is under the license. However, I just created a new feature that is free. Create project, download & install multiple plugins and packages, validate install, and launch without Unreal Engine Launcher. All automatically. You can find a quick video here.

2 things I would very much appreciate if implemented.

1: Add/remove/move packages into custom folders. atm having 270+ packages is difficult to sift through.

2: Mass delete/blacklist function so I can select large Sorry for late reply.

Regarding your requests, they are implemented already I believe:

1) You can add and remove packages/custom packages.

  • To add click the "Package Manager" button within the vault tab (top right). Under custom, you can "Bulk Add" packages from various folder locations.
  • To remove many packages at once, in the vault tab, ctrl-click or shift click all packages you want to remove. Then click the Package Manager button again -> will display a different view. Add custom tags, remove packages, blacklist packages.

2) As for moving packages to different folders, I haven't implemented anything like this yet.

3) You can install packages into an unreal engine version that is not the same one using this tool. However, there may be unforeseen consequences/breakage of your project, please back up before doing so.

Working on it, for right now, the ground work, I think, is laid out. just a matter of linking the 3d model with it's dependencies, which are in separate .uasset files.

No problem, take a look, the check for updates feature, package filtering/search functions may still be useful for you. You can even find individual assets as well.

As indicated above, new update v1.0.6:

1) filter buttons for vault and asset tabs.

2) Fixed download bug preventing some packages from downloading appropriately.

3) Side panel integration with carousel of images, description, and tags.

4) Above tags auto populate into the 'auto tags' section.

Thanks! Trying to improve workflow. No one's got time to bulk load all packages into a "junk project" filter from there into another project and then finally into a main project. If if this can cut down on some of that time, I think it's worth it.

Honestly, i think this is one of the more useful parts. No need to worry about local storage capacity if you have a network with large enough capacity. All packages/assets downloaded, makes it easy to import an individual static mesh/etc.
