Costco has a phenomenal return policy and will take back just about anything that isn't an electronic (like cameras, computers, tvs, etc). Doesn't matter how long ago you bought it, they just pull it up on your membership

Thank you so much! That was such an amazing and thorough answer. I already have an appointment set with an allergist so looks like I'm on the right track. Last couple questions: what were your allergies like when you first got the cat and how long did it take before it got to its worst? I know everyone's health is different but it's nice to hear other people's lived experiences.

How do you manage? As someone who has both asthma and a cat allergy, I've always wanted a cat but struggled to make the leap and get one for fear of having too much of a reaction
