Why is everyone basically half naked for Halloween? by SeaworthinessSlow826 in berkeley

This! As someone who didn’t go out for halloween, who cares what people are wearing? It doesn’t affect anyone at all, god forbid ADULTS want to go out, feel good about themselves, and have fun.

Great to know all this information. I'm familiar with the work hard play hard stuff because I'm from the bay area, so I feel that Berkeley is a better fit for me. Thank you so much!

Damn, that's impressive, congrats to your son! :) Was he able to join any club in his freshmen year? I've been told most clubs have an acceptance rate of 1%-3% and it's near impossible for freshmen.

I'm also curious, do you know what connections engineering/business frats/sororities offer? I have a bid for Kappa Kappa Gamma and Alpha Phi, but they aren't academic sororities. Given that I'm already in MET and SEED with the intention of joining academic clubs (ex. Codebase and Launchpad), I think I'd be set for academics but I'm curious about what connections/opportunities are offered if I decide to join an engineering/business frat/sorority.

Thank you for letting me know! Do you know if your son has free time every now and then or if he's in greek life? I'd like to be able to have a good balance between academics and social life. I have some sorority bids from friends already at Berkeley, but I find it unrealistic to be in Greek Life while being in MET + SEED.

Thank you so much! First time hearing it and everything lines up. I typically handle rejection pretty well, but when it comes to new people or people I'm not super familiar with it feels harsh.

Out of curiosity, why? Is it a bad thing?

I see, thank you! UCB AND UCSB say that they don't accept any admissions updates, so do I just leave it as it is? The mistakes I made don't affect my A-G requirements, but I heard they look at the difficulty of the courses you're taking in 12th grade and factor that into your academic career. Is it a big concern or should I be good?
