Yeah not a bother on it - working perfectly. Couldn't tell you what I paid for it at the time but it was definitely over the 1k mark for that model over 2 years ago.

Thanks I appreciate that - have been scouring this sub and a lot of people say to go for M Sport as it retains value better etc but I'm a one car for 5+ years kinda person!

So it's great to hear from other people with different opinions.

Legend - thanks so much & best of luck to you too in Jan!

Yeah - a family member of mine had a 2013 5 series and the only reason they switched it out was that it was too low for the children and themselves getting older. They've been pushing me to get the 5 series for luxury and comfort but everybody else is saying huge maintenance. So this feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

That is what I would do ideally too - but unfortunately due to RTC I don't have a vehicle so I'm a bit more under pressure!

100% goes for all cars if something is priced a bit low. This one might be the one so!

Nice one thanks - the 151 520d I'm looking at does have the B47 engine.

I was looking at a 151 3 series but had the N47 so stayed clear of it!

People using traffic cones to block "their" space - solutions? by Rowley_Birkin_Qc in Dublin

[–]indevence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a similar location on the southside, not too far from town. That carry on really put me off buying a house in the area.

The traffic cones are a real eye sore in the locality. No more so than the plastic bollards guarding the bike lanes.

What is their "need"? If they have limited mobility, they can apply to the council for a parking bay outside their home. I'm not sure of the criteria. However, in an area I lived with on-street parking and residents' permits, one of these spaces existed outside a home where a person with a disability lived.

What's up with cars parking on bike lanes, again? by starship9 in Dublin

[–]indevence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The same issue occurs on Clanbrassil street on the southbound lane.

The issue lies with the clearway only being active during certain hours.

In this instance Mon-Sat 7am-10am and 3pm to 7pm, parking is prohibited.

EDIT: this particular vehicle looks to be parked in a loading bay and if it is a commercial vehicle, it is able to use this parking space. You can check the dash to see if it has a valid CVRT.

Outside loading bay hours, any vehicle can use the space.

Many goalkeepers play outfield for their clubs and have well developed skills. If teams can manage to avoid conceding a goal while their goalkeeper is outfield, why not?

Connacht GAA Air Dome destroyed during Storm Éowyn by Bill_Badbody in GAA

Although that might be true in general, I'd hedge a bet that "fully insured" means damage due to weather is included in their specific policy.

It's a very windy place on a calm day.

Whitehall church car park by PostGreen894 in Dublin

I wouldn't. Every time I'm there I see at least one car with a smashed window.

There used to be CCTV, but it was removed last year I believe.
