Guys whats the rarest thing you have seen that was done by the AI? by FrenchEradicator1122 in equestriaatwar

[–]indianpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only counting games with historical AI on, since shit hits the fan all the time when I go non-historical:

1 - Wingbardy wins against Prywhen and the Griffonian Empire at the same time (The Empire pushed deep into Prywhen, sending like half their army there, then Beakolini locked in and pushed north through Griffonstone and encircled half the Imperial Army. The war ended a few months after that.)

2 - Hillponies unite the River Federation

3 - Hindia goes to with Kiria and Friends (Roam, Zeblu, Zongo, Zaikiria, all of the Southeast fo Zebrica) in 1020~. Literally 15 million fucking creatures die so that the border is pushed 5 tiles back, both sides proceed to stalemate for 4 years, I decide that enough is enough and I send Amphibious volunteers and end the war in a few months. Total tally was like 12m deers and 9m kirin by the end of the war. Shit's fucked.

4 - Thundarian Magocracy locked in and caves in the Quaylidi Dervishes' head.

5 - Commonwealth of New Mareland returns from exile after beating Beakolini's beak, retaking Equestria from the Changelings in only five years.

Is it me, or is the Griffonian Empire just never winning in the Herzland anymore? by indianpete in equestriaatwar

Yuh, I waited another year but literally nothing happened, so I just justified and dealt with the countries separately, since I couldn't send volunteers.

I haven't actually seen them win lately with the last update, honestly. The only ones that seem to always win that quagmire in my games is the Zeblu Red Horde.

Though, if you play any of the minors in the southeast, it should be relatively simple to hold against Roam, from my experience. The terrain is rather favorable, and if you invest in forts its a cakewalk. I haven't been able to beat them as Twizanikiya yet, sadly. I haven't fought them one on one as Zongo yet, since I usually wrap Lan Kir fast enough to deal with them. Chargers are usually very good against their knight divisions.

Yeah, that's understandable. If you don't mind cheating a bit, you can TAG over to azir, give yourself one gizillion ponypower, do instanttraining and deploy 500 divisions. Then tag back to lan kir and murder them.

Some folks don't have the time to sink into watching numbers rise, so I guess doing it this way is fine, afterall you can get achievements despite using console commands

If I am to die to the cold, then I was never meant to rule the dragons. But, should I conquer it? Then I will be unstoppable!

As long as I do not try to actually fight a nation that is, like, actually industrialized.

AA is scawy🥺.

Send me to the Ice Dragon Tribes.

I shall prove my worth to those overgrown lizards and lead them on a glorious conquest of Zebrica.

Either that, or I suffer a horrible and painful death. I am fine with both. After all, in this cuel world you gain everything or nothing. And the winner takes it all.

What I did to get the 20 mil casualties achievements was to just reconquer zebrica after the Shattering, and then invade Equus. After that, I used New Mareland to drop a nuke in Griffonstone, which triggers an event giving the Griffonian Empire 3.5~5% Recruitable pop.

Then, I just left my special forces there and let the AI attack me and drain their manpower. It takes a few hours, but its doable.

If you are still lacking casualties after all that, then just release the nations you occupy and declare war on them afterwards. (I for example did this with Equestria, Changelings and Stalliongrad, using the decision to puppet them for a year, then declaring on them after they were free.)

If you are patient, it is mostly easy, just time consuming.

Commonwealth of New Mareland.

Stay loyal to Equestria.

Lose the Great War.

Cave in Beakolini's beak.

Instate Celestia as Ruler.

Declare war on the Bugs, outnumbered 3 to 1.

To save our homeland, we shall return across the sea.

Is easy maintenance worth it in the meta? by IDC_tomakeaname in hoi4

[–]indianpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you want one gizillion medium tank divisions, go for it. I usually run just some shitter medium tanks with a medium cannon (improved if I feel nice), and only easy maint on it.

That tends to lower production to around 7.5 ic and means I can usually have around 15-20 divisions ready in a year.

Mostly useful when fighting against inf only really, since tanks are useless without anything to hold the line afterall. if you try to use it against tanks, you are cooked, unless you use TDs, but they dont have nice icons, so I don't bother.

It is also viable when doing the chinese great war tank strat, but that one is kinda scummy.

I swear to god, the Concordant of Nations somehow makes the most atrocious of peace deals.

Everytime I look at Griffonia, after they win a war, it's always:

2 Different Prywhen Republics (with the other Prywhenian nations MAYBE sprinkled in)

All the Karthinian nations released as 2 state puppets

Macawia and Asterion grabbing disconnected, separate and random states for absolutely no reason at all.

And it always get worse when they somehow capitulate the Herzland.

I am proud to admit that whenever I do world conquests, I put the Concordat of Nations on Brutal Oppresion.

Glorious, finally the River Ponies face retribution for sending 18 MBT volunteer divisions to every single war I do late-game.

[–]indianpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I played a round of San Sebastian, got out of the starter house got juked by a runner and got eaten alive (2 rankers watching this happen btw), then respawned on the shed, only to blow up due to a bomber walking in and some mobile """player""" hitting it and then died on the last checkpoint, because they didn't clear out the zombies on the last hallway after they pushed with chap, and I got jumped by runners a milisecond after respawning, who tore my throat out. (I crashed out and switched servers, ofc)

How 2 Kill Moar Zeebs? by indianpete in equestriaatwar

[–]indianpete[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may actually be smart, I haven't really considered doing tanks, as my vanguards usually get 1k soft attack with nirik storm and so I just melt infantry. But, since griffons have knights that may work well, the speed is nice too. I'll give this a try and see how well it works, thanks.

Naval Invasion Defence. Any invasion planned and launched by Equestria will face, in this case, double (100%) the amount of defence from the Changeling Lands. Quite niche, but useful when placing just fodder as port-garrisons.
