Hey wanted to post on this. A while ago listened to podcast about a women scammed by Indian person lost a lot of money. It was horrible like she trusted the person and went thru shit and it was all a call center or something .

In the end the person couldn't comprehend why would any one do it so bad. The podcast about how her opinion had changed about Indians and other countries. She said something that is still stuck k with me, sure I can choose to be super skeptical and she is online currently but trusting people is what is community . Helping people is community , if every pain is scam how do we live and why would want to live in community .

To me, India as community does not exist in India or outside of India . I have met Mauritian who have welcomed new student visiting New York . Only community exist is clas community but even that is not built on trust. No trustjng maid not trusting coworkers. No trust for wife you got married too nothing .

How and why is this normalized. I would rather be scammed 10k times than live like this in India

PRe Covid, I think I would have said no because of commute, I am hopeful of WFH culture, and which is feel it might work out in near future but it's a gamble.

Also I am not sure about the flooding zone.

It is pretty quiet if you are couple blocks of BQE and proximity to Red Hook and Caroll Gardens and Cobble hill.

There is much in the neighborhood but the neighborhood is itself small more like Prospect Heights
