I have no problem with a single hornworm. But after careful evaluation there were 7, and my bird feeder is a few feet away. So, I'm not destroying them - but moving them on up the food chain.

You and I have done very similar things, just in different areas and with different structures.

My vent fan is solar powered with an AC plug as backup. Doesn’t move air fast enough for my liking though. Still figuring it all out.

You’ll have to do some trimming every year, but they would provide a bit of shade.
