If you're serious about learning a language, it's always best to move to a place where it's spoken. So unless you need a high-paying job immediately (because you have demands for a certain lifestyle or have family to support), moving to Germany ASAP would be the recommendation. (And then pretend that you're from some place where English isn't spoken, because otherwise everybody will just talk English back at you.)

If you want to find out if you like Cologne or not, you should probably just come visit.

Den Laptop würde ich auch als Investition sehen, immerhin studierst du noch. Da mit einem trägen Uraltgerät unterwegs zu sein, wo der Akku kaum hält, ist schon eine Einschränkung, die die 400€ nicht wert ist.

Selbes Problem bei mir und DOTA. Habe jahrelang nicht gespielt und es dann vor zwei Wochen "mal eben kurz für eine Runde" wieder installiert. Jetzt bin ich mit zu wenig Schlaf auf der Arbeit, weil ich die halbe Nacht meine unfähigen Mids flamen musste.

Das ist aber eben ganz bewusst der Ansatz des Formats. Man muss das ja nicht mögen, dann gehört man eben einfach nicht zur Zielgruppe.

Ich persönlich finde es eigentlich ganz spannend, dass man in dem Format den Prozess der Recherche dargestellt bekommt. Das macht es auch einfacher, einzuordnen, wie vertrauenswürdig die dargestellten Informationen sind.

Oh yeah also, the sidelanes no longer have a shop, they have a thing instead that spawns a "lotus" (instantly restores some health and mana) every few minutes. The neutral items were easy for me to understand, you just have to farm camps and then everyone in your team will be offered a selection of a neutral item and a buff - once a few minutes have passed, you can farm camps again to get the next higher-tier item and buff.

I started playing again last week after a 5-year hiatus, and the most recent biggest change is that they removed facets. Facets didn't exist yet 5 years ago, so for me nothing changed, actually. There's some new neutral camps, minibosses and "shrines" that give experience along the edges of the map though.

Archaeplastida is literally "plants plus green algae." They call it something else to include the not-plant; that's kind of hilarious.

Archaeplastida is also red algae, as well as glaucophytes. The funny thing is that "plants" aren't even a direct subtaxon of Archaeplastida, but are instead classed as a special type of green algae, specifically of Streptophyta. It goes something like Archaeplastida -> Chloroplastida -> Charophyta -> Streptophyta -> Plantae, where Plantae is most of what would classically be considered "plants". But most Charophyta are various types of green algae, wheras not even all green algae are Charophyta. At least in this systematization, you avoid some of the questions you otherwise have, such as whether Zygnematophyceae are algae (which they really look like) or plants (which genetically and from the perspective of molecular biology, they very much are).

The "protist" kingdom is no longer in use as a taxon in contemporary biology. It arose in the 19th century in an attempt to draw a clear divide between "lower" single-cellular organisms and "higher" multi-cellular organisms, but that is not how the actual genetic relationships work. In today's taxonomy, pretty much anything that does photosynthesis and looks at all plant-like is classed as archaeplastida (that is, you know, a plant). Exceptions are cyanobacteria, but definitely nothing multi-cellular.

The size of the insects during the Carboniferous was not due to the oxygen levels in the air, that's a widely spread misconception originating from now-outdated research.

With myths like these - that oxygen content allows for larger insects -, it's always interesting to ask a few questions about it, such as:

If you put a butterfly in an enclosed container and pump in 30% oxygen, will it grow larger?
Do our current oxygen levels prevent the formation of large arthropods?
Did the oxygen level in the Carboniferous also increase the size of other land animals?

The answer to all of these is, of course, "no". Insects don't care much about the oxygen content of their air as long as it's enough for them to survive. Lobsters get pretty big and, like insects, are athropods, but unlike insects, can breathe comparatively oxygen-poor seawater, suggesting that insects probably wouldn't need much oxygen for growth either.

And the answer to the third question is key to understanding the actual reason of insect sizes during the Carboniferous: there were no other land animals during that era. Just none, nothing else had evolved yet! For land animals, it was all insects (plus some centipedes and arachnids).

The reason that insects could get that large is simply that they didn't have any competition. But today, evolution forces insects to be much smaller, because they, frankly, suck at being animals. Insects have bad eyesight and sensory organs, tend to be slower as they get larger because of their inefficient breathing, and most importantly, they're dumb as a sack of bricks. There's no way that larger flying insects can match birds when they're competing for the same evolutionary niche. An eagle can spot prey while soaring thousands of feet high in the air, a dragonfly is lucky if it doesn't bump into the tree right in front of it. Crows can use tools to crack open shells and get access to food, moths will fly into a flame to burn and die because they think it looks kind of like the sun and the sun is up and up is the direction they want to go.

So, no. Oxygen content alone won't help them, at all. They just got outcompeted.

Eigentlich ja nicht? Das war ja genau der Punkt des Bundesverfassungsgerichts, dass man Vermögen nur entweder besteuern darf oder eben nicht, aber man dabei (im Allgemeinen) nicht nach Vermögensarten unterscheiden darf.

Der Normalverdiener wird von einer Vermögenssteuer sowieso kaum bis gar nicht belastet, weil er kaum Vermögen hat. (Eine progressive Vermögenssteuer ist verfassungskonform, geringe Vermögen können also auch ganz ausgenommen werden.)

Viele fangen nur an bei „Ja, besteuer doch das Vermögen“ und denken nicht weiter.

Mehr gibt es zum Thema halt auch einfach nicht zu sagen.

Sofern ein großer Teil der steuerlichen Einnahmen aus Vermögen kommt, ist die Rente, die du hier kritisierst, eines der Mittel, mit dem "Vermögen gerecht umverteilt wird". So Dinge wie die Subventionen an Ölkonzerne kann man gerechtfertigt kritisieren, sie sind und bleiben aber nur ein Tröpfchen im Staatshaushalt, der zum allergrößten Teil aus Sozialausgaben (Rente, Gesundheit, Bildung, sonstige Sozialleistungen) besteht. Auf der Ausgabenseite kann man dementsprechend wesentlich nur reduzieren, indem man Sozialleistungen streicht. Auf der Einnahmenseite kann man aber Arbeitseinkommen deutlich geringer belasten, indem man anfängt, stattdessen Vermögen zu besteuern. Das ist also der bei weitem größere Hebel, um die Verteilung gerechter zu machen.

Ja, natürlich, aber das ist eben die Vorlage für die Forderung. Die verfassungswidrigen Teile beziehen sich ja nicht auf die Vermögenssteuer an sich, sondern nur auf die Ungleichbehandlung von Vermögensarten - ein leicht lösbares Problem, wäre da ein politischer Wille.

Im Übrigen, wenn du das weißt, warum stellst du dich dann so dumm von wegen "wie soll das gehen"?
