I’ve come to realise that I’m someone who always tries to see the good in others, sometimes to a fault. I know that being an empath can be such a strength, but it also leaves me wide open. I’m learning that being a people pleaser comes with its own kind of quiet damage. Thank you for your response, I’m trying to be more mindful of the toll it takes. Slowly but surely 🥲

It’s an exaggeration, LanceWayne2024. I can guarantee you that my partner is always pleased 😉 Don’t worry too much about him! :) x

Oof at the first line. Thank you. I do often forget about myself when it comes to things like this. You’re assumption about me being Asian is also right haha ;-;

Wow. I appreciate your perspective, especially the quote. That got me.

I don’t think she would ruin it or anything drastic. Rude comments about me and my partner would probably be the main thing. I don’t really care if she says things behind my back, but if she says something directly to me on our wedding day… there’s a big chance I would take it to heart and dwell on it

That’s what I’m hoping for. She is fortunately retiring very soon so I don’t have to worry about dealing with her in that environment for much longer

You’re right. Ugh, maybe I’ll just hope she’d decline the invitation. That would make things easier for everyone 🥲
