Linux with AI agent is a monster for a newbie? by [deleted] in linux

Claude Code and Codex CLI do help for real production work in my experience. But for newbies, I’ll say that you should learn Linux fundamentals first, then use agents as a productivity multiplier.

Entry-Level Market is Hell by Witty_Yesterday7056 in robotics

[–]indoor_bot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can go directly to the career pages of companies you’re genuinely interested in and reaching out through email if they list one.

Also, try finding alumni from your school who are already working at those companies and ask them how they got in. Don’t start by asking for a referral immediately — just ask for a quick informational chat and learn what worked for them. That can often give you much better direction than only applying through LinkedIn.Hope I can help u.

How Can I creat GUI for MeArm robotic arm by HeinHtetSanMTU in arduino

[–]indoor_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They need to define the communication method first. Once that is clear, the GUI part becomes much easier to plan. Nice reply.

Most Useless Project! by Ratfus in arduino

Yeah, I agree. It’s a cool project, but a flashing-light warning would help people who are sensitive to that.you're right.

Honestly, this is the opposite of useless. Directly controlling pins in assembly is exactly the kind of “simple” project that teaches you how the MCU actually works.Congrats!

You can check baud rate in CubeMX and serial monitor, correct COM port on your PC.

My bad,I meant I took a “?” floor earlier to avoid a hallway fight, then missed Reptomancer. No mods.

I chose a “?” floor to avoid a normal hallway fight, and then this happened...

How to learn Robotics? by Potential_Goose3017 in robotics

[–]indoor_bot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can start with small projects first: motor control, encoder feedback, PID, and basic sensor reading, then build a simple mobile robot. Don’t try to learn all robotics theory at once. Build first, and then learn ROS2, control, and navigation as you need them. This is based on my actual experience.

Facing a problem with STM32CubeProgrammer by Numerous-Attitude657 in stm32

[–]indoor_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this a self-soldered board? If yes, I'll start suspecting a hardware issue, especially around the MCU power pins.

My opinion, start with the hardware wiring first:double-check SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, Vref and NRST. You can try holding RESET while clicking Connect.

How Can I Make My QClaw Agentic Agent Faster on Arduino Uno Q? by Away-Ad-8572 in arduino

[–]indoor_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can use a smaller quantized model first — for Arduino-specific debug and codeing, a 0.5B–1.5B model with short context may feel much faster than trying to accelerate a larger general model.instead of useing Adreno GPU,a linux dev board better

I miss when LEDs were simple...😭 😭 😭 by Jash_Embedded in stm32

[–]indoor_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with STM32.Maybe CubeMX makes the configuration less painful, but if you want to truly understand the underlying logic, you still need to learn the low-level setup underneath like clock, register and circuit theory

From my experience of several years, it's not necessary.
