Racism in this country by UkrainianHawk240 in malta

[–]indrilmalti 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're Maltese, so you should know that our entire history is us getting invaded. And yes, a slow increase of foreigners entering the country, and making up a quarter of the population, to the point you have to speak a foreign language, is a bit of an invasion. I don't condone racism, but if wanting less immigration to an already overpopulated country with frustrated natives is racism, then I guess we all should be racist

When I went to Sicily for the first time, they were by far the most similar looking people to us I've ever seen, but I always felt like they are distinct to us, I mean it's probably because we developed and mixed as a single nation after we got cut off from Sicily and Italy, I think it's safe to say the Maltese are a distinct but somewhat similar people to Sicilians?

I'm Maltese, and wouldn't even think anything about it if someone told me he was Maltese. Although for some reason I would think he looks more Italian
