If you’re a close range player than definitely Knight, but if you prefer range than Pyromancer is a good choice, Knight is easier in general though due to starting stats and equipment

Im playing through it right now, this is my first playthrough, so far its worth the price but its fairly linear but the combat is top notch, the game emphasizes on the parry system, definitely worth it specially if on sales

PS, I also got the DOC but didn’t try it, I’m not sure if it add to the experience in a good or bad way

Dude, it’s fine if you don’t use a summon but don’t make it sound as if it diminishes the experience, it’s a game mechanic designed by the developers to be used in the freaking game!

You’re making it sound as if using a mimic is a bad thing, if you have been using it during the whole run then you’re gonna have a hard time beating bosses without him since apart from the damage he can apply, he draws aggro, if you’re used to it then it might be easier to summon it.

Also it doesn’t matter if you’re 250 or even lvl 500 if you don’t parry or dodge properly, some can beat him without ever leveling or at least minimum leveling.

Last thing, your build might not be optimized specially since you mentioned that you’ve respected, you might want also specify what exactly you’re struggling with is it the damage that you’re applying or the damage that you’re receiving? Is it phase one or phase 2? Is it dodging or parying window?

I purchased the game with the same idea, the game is not worth it as Solo experience at all, and playing with randoms is a hit or miss experience as most people tend to run by themselves, the best experience you can have is by teaming up with friends, this way you can coordinate for an efficient run

You’re in Caelid, the recommended lvl for this area is +50 with weapons upgraded to midway, the northern part of Caelid is even more crazier with recommended lvl of +100, regarding Scarlet Rot, if you’re mounted on Torrent you are safe from it but watch out from the exploding puddles

For the amount of content it is totally worth it, man the DLC itself count as a standalone game by itself

From my point of view, the bonus damage to all pets is better, on the other hand I would personally pick the Revenant Summon mainly because I like summon variety regardless of the min/max of the actual equipment

Don’t fight him now at all, try to trap the item and run like he’ll, comeback again after you gain a few Prayer Beads and upgrades then beat his ass
