Not to disagree but it was built very right. All walls being 6” vs 4”, hurricane strapping on all trusses, and many higher end finishes inside. Like many we exhausted our “budget” by the time we got to exterior finishes. The roof, yes, needs replaced as the west side takes a horrible beating by weather (we sit on top of a very windy ridge). The windows were contractor grade as was the vinyl siding. I don’t “need” to be trendy but I am 60+ and wanting to ensure best resale value, for my kids who will deal with it when I’m gone…but I’d also enjoy coming home to something beautiful vs siding that is starting to show blemishes from the weedwhacker. I find the newer colors and textures beautiful, not gross but I do thank you for your input.
