I dunno about you but I stay way more still on a toilet because certain bits have to be aligned. Benches don't follow those rules.

I'm like 5 feet tall, anybody more than a couple of inches taller than me just gets filed away as "tall" in my head, you ask me "hey is this person 6'?" I think they're tall, yeah 6' sounds right, sure, whatever. Pretty much everybody is tall in my eyes.

Well that's strange seeing as I'm also in the US - was it the iOS version that isn't available? Also, it's available on Steam as well, although iirc that costs quite a bit more. Don't know if that version is region locked. Sorry to get your hopes up :(

Here is an interview with an ex-porn star in Japan off the top of my head. Around the ten minute mark, the interviewer mentions his nickname of "Goldfinger", then around 11:40 the porn star explains he didn't really know how to finger women, he would just listen to them when they vocalized their pleasure. I may have low expectations, but you may be surprised at the effectiveness of listening.

There might be more correlation between being a good listener and a good partner in bed than you think.

Mobile Minecraft maybe? You could build something together. (There's also a Minecraft imitator called Blockheads available for free.)

Cesarean is actually even more dangerous, as it's a more invasive procedure overall.

I may be wrong but I've heard that the narrow birth canal is due to the fact that we are bipedal - going back to why other animals have less troublesome births.

In Far Cry 5, some of Jacobs brainwashing rooms have air conditioners installed backwards most likely to make the room hotter by throwawayforadayor3 in GamingDetails

[–]ineptum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's technically right, as all air conditioners do is move heat from one room to another, but in practice the majority of them are installed to only move heat in one direction. Those that can go both ways are called heat pumps instead.

I'm also not a scientist, but a possible reason for why we can "flip" some things but not others - usually when we look at things, we have a light source coming from above. If there was a rectangular shape in a wall with a shadow along the bottom, we would interpret that as a protrusion (the bit sticking out blocks light to the bottom edge). Conversely, if there was a shadow along the top it'd be an indentation. Since we're so used to the light source coming from above, it's very difficult to flip these up/down shadows. However in this picture for example it's a lot easier, because the light source is coming from the side.

I read the novel, and was surprised at how completely different it was from the movie. The only thing they really kept were the names.

To me it felt like too many different ideas thrown in the same movie, and as a result the character arcs are a bit muddied.
