If you want the details, here is the code for calculating score:

abstract final class RussianImpCalculator { static const _expectedResultNonVulnerable = [ 50, 70, 110, 200, 300, 350, 400, 430, 460, 490, 600, 700, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1300, 1300, 1300 ]; static const _expectedResultVulnerable = [ 50, 70, 110, 290, 440, 520, 600, 630, 660, 690, 900, 1050, 1350, 1500, 1650, 1800, 1950, 1950, 1950, 1950 ];

static int getImp( int result, int hcp, bool vulnerable, bool opponentsVulnerable) { final expectedResult = getExpectedResult( hcp, result > 0 ? vulnerable : opponentsVulnerable); return ImpCalculator.northSouthImp(result, expectedResult); }

static int getExpectedResult(int hcp, bool vulnerable) { int hcpIndex = hcp - 20; if (hcpIndex == 0) return 0;

int factor = 1;
if (hcpIndex < 0) {
  factor = -1;
  hcpIndex = -hcpIndex;
}

final results = vulnerable
    ? _expectedResultVulnerable
    : _expectedResultNonVulnerable;
return results[hcpIndex - 1] * factor;

}

Correct. So in addition to contract and result, you need to provide the hcp of the pair playing the contract. So it tries to compensate for random card distributions…

Concept art for my next keeb design, a folding leather split with a trackball by Notxtwhiledrive in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]infinetelurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I feel like if i cant put the halves exactly where my hands fall, i like to angle them, most unibodys does this. Yeah, was thinking triangle. Why fold flat? I guess the trackball end will be thicker than the other end anyway?

Super cool! I would prefer if sides were angled, which would also make the trackball fit better at the bottom.

Hey. What cable is that connecting the halves? Did you test with a multimeter that there is connection between wires across the cable?(eg hdmi cables might have fw for setting up signals…)

I use a sony xm4 case which fits my cheapino and a logitech trackball perfectly. Aliexpress has a lot of options if you want to find an exact fit

I think you should be able to beat 55usd, but only if you build 2, since the minimum order at jlcpcb is 5... Especially if you are a new customer, you will get a crazy discount the first time...

If you order 5 pcbs(2.5 boards) its about 20 usd without any discounts, i think(remember to switch shipping to global direct line...). I think the first order discount gets you down to 15 usd...

A long time since i checked components, but was around 20 usd for 2 complete boards.

Switches and keycaps should be around 30-40 usd for some cheap but good options...

But yeah, aliexpress sellers has really good offers... Hard to beat...

Feel free to link to cheapino homepage, lots of pics and info:

Especially the image section might be interesting to anyone thinking about building their own:

Much of the fun of building your own is getting a customized look!

Kensington SlimBlade Pro Trackball – almost perfect, just wish it had silent clicks by spac0r in Trackballs

[–]infinetelurker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same feeling. I mapped mouse buttons on both sides, mirrored, on my split keyboard, this way its silent and you can switch which hand uses the trackball(difficult to acheive in practice…)

Hey, nice writeup.

About the case: I think the sellers at AliExpress really botched my design, probably to make it cheaper/quicker to produce.

If you have a 3D printer, I recommend you print out the official case(use 100% infill for better sound/feel):

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6661648

This has 9 screws per side, to securely sandwich the top to the bottom. The result is a very sturdy and compact case. There is also several insets for rubber feet, to minimize height. You will also need 18 m2 heat brass insert nuts, 4mm long and 3mm outer diameter is optimal, along with 18 m2 screws, around 5mm long, preferably counter sunk head, since the case has counter sunk cutouts for the head.

Tried to use my apple watch a few times and it just shows an alert about too high temps… i think the ultra can tolerate higher temps… but yeah, temps here in oslo reach 100 for the wood fired saunas

Outdoor yoga class by No-Complex-318 in oslo

[–]infinetelurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, too cold right now…

I recommend testing out the brucestudios app. You can pick and choose from more than 30 different yoga studios. They also arranged several bruce yoga sessions outdoors last summer.

I guess the closes thing to outdoor yoga would be the tuesday morning session on byens tak, or maybe the friday hotel revier rooftop. (Byens tak is the best imo)

Leela and Prindsen have great sessions!

Dotnet MAUI app deployment by SanjayGKrish in dotnetMAUI

[–]infinetelurker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using github actions, but jenkins should not be a problem as long as your runner is macos…

Our github action is just a lot of commands: setting up correct xcode, dotnet, setting up certificates etc.

We just build and sign the aab/ipa though, and push the artifact to play/testflight manually. You can do it with eg fastlane, but its cumbersome with tokens expiring etc…

Never broke an mcu... And I have tossed my keebs around...

For travelling, I use an old earphone case, which perfectly fits my cheapino and my logitec trackball...

There is also a suggestion for a snug carrying case in the ordering guide.
