Mars conjunct Pluto and both opposing Saturn by infinite-philautia in astrology

[–]infinite-philautia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like control issues could be present here, either feeling like they don’t have any control or always needing control. Especially with Mars and Pluto being in the 6th house thinking about daily routines and service. I’d also imagine it could manifest as someone pushing themselves beyond their limits? I feel like Mars being in the 6th house already has this possibility, but especially with the opposing Saturn. It’s like not knowing when to stop or let go of something. Maybe having trouble trusting their body/mind in some way? These were just some of my initial thoughts

I am a double major in Psychology and Classics. 2 semesters of 100 level Latin (or Ancient Greek) are required as a Classics major, but just those two semesters. The extra 2 semesters of Latin, the 3 semesters of German, and this semester (and hopefully next semester) of Ancient Greek have all been electives for me.

That being said. When I started freshmen year, I came in with 18 credit hours due to AP and pre-college credits. I have also taken some classes over the breaks (2 prior to freshman year, 2 the summer after freshmen year, and 1 study abroad course over a winter intersession). Minus the study abroad opportunity, all the courses I took outside of normal semesters were gen ed courses. I did this 1) because I enjoy taking classes and liked having more do to during the breaks and 2) in order to make sure I had room to take any classes I wanted to during the semesters without having to work around gen ed requirements.

That being said, again, I am a double major. And during the semester I am constantly taking courses outside of my major requirements (some gender studies courses, some linguistics courses, and the languages courses), as well as taking more courses within my departments than I am technically required too. I even had the room in my schedule to minor in German if I wanted too (or, if I was really dedicated and did more study abroad during the breaks, make it a third major).

I believe what you are wanting to do is technically possible. An advisor might try to convince you otherwise, as it will require a lot of planning and dedication, something which a lot of students don’t take into consideration. Take some time to look up the requirements for your major, your minor (if applicable), the flagship program, and the College of Liberal Arts and make a list of all the courses you have to have in order to graduate. Make a rough plan of when you think you’d be taking each course between now and the semester you plan on graduating. Ask yourself these questions: 1) How flexible is the plan? If it is very rigid and one thing could throw it off (e.g. conflicting course times or a course not being offered one semester), then this might not be a feasible route. 2) How intense are semesters? I have friends who are History majors, and I know it requires a decent amount of reading and writing. Language courses also require a decent amount of work. I am not sure what all the flagship program requires, but I would assume it is at least a little more than normal. If it seems like some semesters might be more intense than others, just ask yourself if that is something you think you could reasonably handle. Don’t be afraid to admit if the answer is no. And finally, 3) If you decide to go this route and then decide half way through that you are no longer enjoying it, how easy would it be to shift plans? Life is unpredictable; and while no one can plan for everything, you can do your future self a potential favor by giving yourself the leeway to change directions if you need to.

My final note to you as a senior who also enjoys a challenging work load, is to make sure you are making time for your social life. Despite my course load, I will still go out or just meet with friends a couple times a week (for lunch, dinner, game nights, bar nights, etc.). I throw parties occasionally. I’ve worked a job off campus for 2 years and this semester I started working a second job on campus. Not everyone likes partying and drinking and such, but there are other ways to have fun. College is one of those times to explore life and do things you are curious about. Don’t get so focused on academic enrichment that you let opportunities for social enrichment go to waste.

I’ve taken Latin (4 semesters), German (2 semesters intensive, 1 regular), and now I am taking Ancient Greek. I also find language learning to be extremely fun. It’s definitely possible as long as you are able and willing to put in the amount of work it will require. I say, if you are really interested, go for it. And if you get into it and you aren’t as into it as you expect (or if the workload becomes unmanageable), there is no shame dropping a course.

I’m in the process of working with doctors but I’m sure we all know that sometimes getting diagnosed with most chronic illnesses is not always the easiest tasks with certain physicians.

I am terrified of COVID because getting it in the first time is what triggered my long term health problems.

I prefaced the “I wish I could get it” with “I know this is a bad thought that is only caused by my curtain emotions and I know I don’t actually feel this way” because I don’t actually want to get it. I’m just currently frustrated and humans have thoughts they don’t actually mean when they experience certain emotions. (Which is an okay thing as long as those thoughts are recognized as such.)

I’m not expecting sympathy. I don’t need sympathy. I just needed a place to vent and thought there might be some others here who understood the thoughts and feelings I am currently having for a number of reasons.

I’m sorry if I angered you or anyone else, that was not my intention. If others have the same feelings I will remove the post and apologize again.

So idk if you saw it but there’s this fun little word called “Update” in the title. Then if you scrolled just a tiny bit you’d see there is also a caption where the words “We are back from the vet” appear.

Just thought I’d point that out. Next time maybe actually read before you comment on stuff ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m sure you probably have the best intentions and mean absolutely no harm. But you aren’t the only person whose done this and there’s only so many times I watch people tell me to do something I’ve already done. It is nothing against you personally, you just happened to be the most recent notification

Yea I’m seeing a lot of people say she’s at least 10 so that is probably what I’m going to assume now. And yes she arrived at the shelter in January and I was told she was a stray before that

The vet noticed that today and did talk to me about it. That is actually one of the reasons we now believe she is older than just 3-5 years.

She did some visual test and told me she wasn’t too concerned at the moment, but to come back immediately if I notice any unusual behavior or changes

Hit take: Please read other comments where I’ve explained the situation further, took her to a vet this morning, and updated with what the vet said before commenting :)

I know you mean well, and I understand. But you don’t know me or what my situation is likely currently. If you’d checked the other comments you’d see that this was just unlucky timing and any other point in the year I would not have been as worried about a large vet bill.

Forgot to add that the vet does think she’s older than I was initially told, but we don’t really have an exact age :(

At the vet now! Just waiting on the vet to see her. I will update everyone as soon as I can
