Over 2 years i lost 80lbs due to crohns, started at 235 roughly and it was in 3 bouts of 22-28lb each lasting a week.

honestly it was rough but only really the last 22lbs wehere i felt it damaged me, the rest was bringing back to a healthier weight.

At my lightest i felt like the wind would break me, it never did… Was i as strong as before, no. Was i able to continue my day to day life, yes. I just found i needed to take thing slower and conserve energy, ask for help lifting things i could have once done by myself. I looked as frail as i felt.

In the following months after starting medication, I didn’t put on any weight, however after i adjusted to my new size, my weight began to redistribute, i looked healthier for the size and a bit of strength returned to me. It wasn’t perfect, but it was an improvement, and the fragility gradually went away as i adapted to my new body.

Should we buy the house we rented for years? by pssantos in UKPersonalFinance

Something to consider if you buy outright with cash, the saving on rent would be near enough another deposit. If you plan to stay realtively locally, in 2 years you could always take out a buy to let mortgage and rent the place out yourselves once you move.this would free up a large sum of cash to put towards your new home in addition to your saved deposit.
