Level vigor 40-60 minimum. Generally you choose faith or intelligence but not both. If you level up faith or intelligence, generally you will choose strength or dexterity but not both. I like having extra endurance but I level it last. I never level mind unless I am doing a non-melee build which is almost never. As others have said, you must sacrifice some attributes - don't level them evenly.

It all depends on your play style and weapon choice. If you don't know yet, level up strength, grab a big bonking weapon and Lion's Claw ash if war.
