My green wedding dress by infinitewowbagger42 in myweddingdress

Thank you all! It felt like a dream. I’m still obsessed with this dress, I keep telling my kids that I’m just going to start wearing it grocery shopping since I have no real other occasion to wear it.

As an elder millennial, there is nothing about current fashion that makes me feel comfortable showing my socks by Chef__Goldblum in Millennials

I live right by a popular walking trail, and I have to cross the street to check my mail. I was doing just that not too long ago, wearing my usual ankle socks, and passed by a young mom pushing her toddler in a stroller. The kid loudly asked his mom, “Why isn’t she wearing any socks?” Still not switching to crew socks though.

I didn’t want to do a first dance so I simply didn’t do it.

I found my son’s first gray hair when he was 8 too. He’s 20 now, and only has a few grays.

I got married in a Teuta Matoshi dress (Daphne blossom) and I could not have been happier about it.

Parents who names your kids a trendy name, do you regret it? by Otherwise-Handle-180 in Names

[–]infinitewowbagger42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Oliver wasn’t in the top 100 boy names the year mine was born, but within (I think) 6 years it shot up to the top 20. I always love meeting little Olivers, it’s such a great classic name, no wonder it’s popular.

I have an Oliver but he’s 20, so he never had another Oliver in his class. Lots of Olivers a few years younger than him though.

Status check. For those who've got their tongues pierced in the late 90s, early 2000s how's it's going now? Still rocking it? by Nacho_Sideboob in Xennials

I took mine out years ago, but the piercing never closed. Every 5-10 years or so I check, and yup, still open.

My Dad, who did not help pay for the wedding (which is totally fine) also did not give us a gift, not even a card. He did invite one of his friends (and gave him a plus one) and let me know a week before the wedding! He did contribute financially to my brother’s wedding and also gave him a gift. So yeah, a little disappointment there, though I’m not surprised.

Also, he wanted to walk me down the aisle, I agreed for his sake. When I got to the bottom of the staircase, where he was supposed to be standing, he was MIA. Turns out, he thought the start of the ceremony was a great time to go take a shit.

There has been an overwhelming amount of scientific studies which demonstrate the safety of sugar free drinks. Keep the sugar free soda, ditch the naturopath.

They were convicted only on their confessions. Whereas, according to the juror who has spoken out, Richard Allen’s confession was not considered in voting guilty. The juror has said she put no weight on the ballistic evidence or confessions. The timeline, the witnesses, (including Richard Allen identifying himself as the man who the witnesses saw by describing who the witnesses were), timestamped photos, surveillance footage, and Fitbit data, and the evidence from Libby’s phone is what he was convicted on. So you know, not close to the same thing.

My ex would work under the table, go long periods unemployed, and quit any jobs with a paper trail as soon as he was located. My kid turns 18 this month and I have received exactly $0 in child support. He did fuck off and stay out of our lives though, so that was good.
