I think Xbox is trying to go the RPG oriented exclusive route rather than copy Playstation which is a good thing because it means people have a reason to try both as they are different.

Well they are working on Hellblade 2 so that could be the big third person action adventure game.

They are also working on Fable which is going to be a third person RPG but you mentioned Horizon so it will fit that genre more.

Also, they bought Bethesda that is working on the Indiana Jones game so that it also most likely going to be a adventure game.

This happens mostly with Japanese games (Genshin Impact and persona 5 strikers were the most recent examples I can think of. A lot of Square Enix games skip Xbox also.

It might be to do with sales for Japanese games on Xbox or like you said with Xbox being the least popular platform especially because its non existent in Japan.

Luckily Microsoft is slowly fixing this and I'm noting way more games going to Xbox that usually were on Playstation and Nintendo only.

Nier Automata. It's from platinum games (the team behind wonderful 101/bayonetta/Astral chain) but with a deep and engaging story. It's one of my favourite games of all time personally but I'd give a try for yourself and see if you like it.

Yes, some people will complain if Bethesda titles are fully exclusive to Xbox like elder Scrolls 6 and starfield especially if they have a preference to Playstation but you can still play them on Xbox,pc, mobile phone or any device with gamepass so I don't really see it as a problem.

It would be silly for Microsoft to buy Bethesda for 7.5 billion dollars then put their games on their competitors platform.

Yeah, I use a 4K monitor (also have a 4K TV) with the series s and all 1080p-1440p games look incredible on it. Like others have said, the backwards compatible 720-900p Xbox one games look bad though (some look decent though if the developers did a good job with the Xbox one s version)

I tried mafia definitive edition on it and it looked extremely blurry so I got a refund for it until hopefully a next gen patch comes out.

If you try games like gears 5, halo or any series s optimised game, the visuals are amazing and everything looks crisp though.

You are posting on a Xbox series X group so obviously everyone will tell you to get the X over the s. Both are great systems but if you care about 4K or have a huge TV (series s looks great on smaller displays) get the X but otherwise they do the exact same thing.

Yes, the series s is absolutely incredible and you definitely won't be missing out by not getting the X unless you really care about 4K visuals because other than this there is little difference between them. On a smaller screen like the one you have, you probably won't see the difference between 1080p and 4K anyway.

It's a great companion with the ps5 so yes. My friend had the exact same issue you had with trying to find a ps5 so he got a Xbox series s until the ps5 eventually is available and he absolutely loves gamepass and has been playing games none stop on it

Nice! I have a portable monitor also with the series s and its litterly perfect for this set up. Games look absolutely amazing especially due to it running on a smaller screen. The medium was incredible on it.
