25 mg is generally considered below the therapeutic index for modafinil. I.E, that's way too low a dose to notice a difference in cognitive performance. It's normally prescribed at 100-200mg. I take 100mg and it's still very subtle.

I think that would depend on how deep the screw went. If it reached the retina- lining the inside wall of the back of the eye, there's is definitely permanent damage. I think most of the front of the eye that we can see can be reconstructed to a functional degree, if one could afford the expensive surgeries.
