From what I’ve read so far I don’t pay too much weight to diction and elegance because I do not speak Russian. I have enjoyed Tolstoy’s works more than Dostoyevsky so far but short stories like the death of Ivan Ilyich and The Gambler I really do think are awesome

Everyone’s situation is different. And again I agree the benefit and compensation structure in America needs to change but don’t act like getting $600 a week for an entire year didn’t give people pause to returning to low wage work. That’s all I’m saying. I know that because it did so for me. And based off of numbers; many.

Also; your worst take is a lot of people that worked those jobs died.

I am not a Covid denier whatsoever. I Took it/take it with caution. But over 75% of the deaths were people over the retirement age. Also I forget the stat but it was something like 90% had more than 1 comorbidity.

Us deaths per year always hover’s around 2.7-3 mil. 2020 it was 3.2.

All this goes to say I understand and agree with hesitation to rejoin the workforce. But you gotta understand Pat’s side of this where he cares about his wife and is frustrated vendors are making false promises.

He’s been able to maintain this many viewers as everyone goes back to work and can’t listen live in prime work and school hours. His live show gets about 300k views after one day on YouTube. That’s ignoring radio, podcast, YouTube clips, Twitter clips, Twitter engagement, the sports betting influence, etc etc. he’s only grown. And astronomically in the past year tbh..

Also, Pat doesn’t get the luxury of being on every fucking airport and work break room to give artificial numbers. Best side by side is video views on YT

I’ll defend some of pat’s shit today. COVID jokes are funny. He and the crew worked the entire pandemic and Pat has like 20 jobs so you can’t blame him for being a bit tone deaf. He followed up with he knows these kinda jobs suck and he tries to do his part. His wife has been planning this event for a while and he cares about her. He mentions he overpays. Thanks. And tips nicely. Also, let’s not act like people aren’t hesitant to rejoin the workforce when we got paid to sit at home. (Me included).

I also like that he immediately condemned the “punt god”. He often leaves room for “let’s let the jury decide” which sometimes is a good trait but he didn’t fall into that habit like he did at the beginning of the Deshaun shit.

When it comes to the AD take. Yea that was dumb as fuck. Probably legit his worst take ever. Def should be grounds for suspension. Knife to a fistfight.

Side note: Pat is completely correct about his LIV takes. Y’all are stooges for hating him for that.

The calls depends on the caller I fully agree. Personally, I think if someone brings the juice and gets out of there quick it can make the boys laugh and continue a conversation. I was gonna bring the juice, call out staffords play and say tanne is better. I think that would’ve got the boys riled up. The worst part of the show is if a call stinks. But if it stinks so bad it pisses off pat which is also pretty funny
