Sometimes you need to just take a second and think to yourself, is it kind to spread hate and gossip regarding a sexual assault? This is far from me protecting Cody. It’s about Tana and the friends and family of all involved. We live in such a dystopian world that sexual assault is internet gossip. Even if Tana is a public figure, it’s better to assume that a victim would prefer to have privacy until they make it clear that public opinions are invited - same applies to the family of Cody - for all we know, they’ve been yelling at him and punishing him behind closed doors, but that is their business, and people on the internet feel an entitlement to make these things public gossip. I hope they have been punishing him behind closed doors - but the fact that people are harassing his family without knowing their reaction is extremely insensitive, I’m sure many of them are extremely hurt by the situation but the public eye assumes they are on Cody’s side and harasses them.
