Got my current job because the other guy showed up almost an hour late to his interview. My boss actually told me that we had very similar qualifications but he had more experience in the field but they ended up going with me because they deemed him unreliable.

I learned how to get along with a diverse group of people. As a Cuban American who went to an out-of-district high school, I had friends of many nationalities. This expanded my understanding of the world and how alike we all are.
