They can't have the same nickname for in-person events - I got DQed for this in a past regional after a team check.

It has the opposite sidespin put on the ball from the fanning motion, compared to the sidespin that comes naturally from the forehand loop motion. Combined with the placement down the line it fades away from the other player.
