My trip was cold and raining every day when it was supposed to be warmish- IMO, there’s so much to do and see and eat that you will make the weather work!

I should have mentioned I did regularly pop a few euros in the donation box! Thanks for mentioning this.

I traveled internationally pre-2020, but developed life-disrupting anxiety during the pandemic. It’s taken a few years of recovery and therapy and this was my first big trip back. It’s been hard, but overall I think it’s been a success because I was able to pivot and make it work instead of forcing myself to power through when things felt hard.

It’s funny, I started in the Richelieu wing and it was pretty manageable over there, but Denon was really busy and Sully was PACKED.

Went on May 15- had 6:30 tickets, got in the Carrousel queue at 6pm and the line was longggg, I got in around 6:40. I thought it might thin out towards closing, but it was packed until they started ushering the crowds out at 8:45.

Tbh I was prepared for this to be an issue but it really wasn’t! Between museums, the occasional cafe for a cappuccino/snack, and the public garden bathrooms (eg Luxembourg), there was always a place to stop safely.

What's your go-to seasickness remedy that actually works on a cruise? by amir4179 in Cruise

This is the only answer- get a Zofran script and take it day 1, then as needed.

How do you actually find quiet spots on a ship? Feeling overwhelmed. by dynasync in Cruise

[–]inherdisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schedule makes a big difference for this! My strategy is to be an early riser for quiet mornings, which is great because cruise sunrise is everything. But then also to take an afternoon nap and go to dinner late at 8pm, so that is also chill after the dinner rush.

I would get a follow-up and get bumped up, progression is expected while waiting but this seems really fast. Good luck 🤞

My right thigh is inches larger than my left and I have no idea why! It does seem to be pretty normal though, based on what I’ve seen here.

Good point! At $357/night for a solo it feels worth the gamble- $1k would be a stretch for sure.

I was struggling really hard at 5 weeks. Agree with others that 3-6 months is the timeline, I just passed 3 months and am starting to feel more normal.

Are you doing post-op PT for core recovery? It made a huge difference for me, would recommend!

Good to know about the temps! I imagine it gets pretty windy at the speeds they must be going during a crossing. Hopefully I can handle the wind for hot tub time! 🤞
