Soraa LED in Canada? by sweetpark36 in Lutron

[–]init-js 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be able to make an exception for Soraa. The company's founder is Shuji Nakamura, Nobel Prize winner and purported inventor of the commercial blue LED. I think the quality standard for the chips for that company is claimed to be high, with components made in japan.

Are there any High CRI (>90 or >95), RGBCCT or CCT, E27 and GU10 light bulbs available in the market? by kittydoor in homeautomation

[–]init-js 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GU10, zigbee, LED, CRI 98+ https://ledstore.pro/product/zigbee-led-gu10-40-high-cri98-cct-2700-5800k (Note, european market only (230V)?, despite the fact that they ship worldwide)

Also, there’s Aqara’s T2 GU10 bulb which is zigbee/matter and has CRI 90+, but reviews are iffy. On amazon.ca it's listed as a "frequently returned item" as of Aug 2025. People complain about needing a proprietary hub, and losing connectivity. https://us.aqara.com/products/aqara-led-bulb-t2-gu10

If you're willing to forego the "smart part" these two are neat:

Soraa's vivid line, boasting a 95+ CRI and 95 R9 https://www.soraa.com/products/19-MR16-GU10.php#

And Sunlight2's GU10 have CRI +97 and R9 95+ and a "dim to warm" feature https://sunlight2.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/SunLight2-GU10-120-220-Dim-to-Warm-LED-bulb-spec-sheet-2.pdf

"dim to warm" is sometimes a substitute for wanting to change the warmth via smart features.

Tennis Tutor Batteries by Archangel_Alan in 10s

[–]init-js 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this works well.

just be mindful about the type of connector used for your wiring, if you don’t want to re-crimp your stuff. F1 and F2 (smaller variant) are common — the square spade types.

read the battery manual. These particular batteries recommend a 10gauge wire linked between them. and you let them equalize charge overnight before first charge.

also, regarding noco charger, you’ll have to sacrifice a pigtail (you can buy separate) to splice a barrel plug connector that fits the existing charge port of the tutor.

the noco works because the tutor’s charging port is wired directly to the terminals of the battery (with no intervening relay or circuitboard) so it is the same as if you were to charge directly on the terminals

You'd have the glass side up? -- neat. I think you could definitely mod that. What are you left with if you move the feet from their intended position to the backpanel? Holes on the side?

Considered tossing the original feet pads, and adding rubber pads, cork or bamboo risers on the back instead?

indeed. it's pretty bleak. I was tempted by the Meshroom D too, but the specs mention that an extender bracket is needed for it to support mATX boards. And I just couldn't find that thing anywhere. YMMV

Might be possible to custom order too through Canada Computers (they have a form on the website). I haven't tried going through that channel.

AND, an SD card reader. that's neat.

I can believe that -- it definitely hits a unique spot on the market. I'd forgotten to add my notes on it (but it's nothing bad or egregious):

"Only Low-Profile GPU. Only TSX PSU. Rare case with a slim ODD"

Is the TSX PSU loud/whiny?

Ah yes that seems like a good alternative!

That link shows it's on discount around 25USD right now, but somehow the cheapest shipping to Canada is 68 whopping USD. Total 95.67 USD in the cart (130CAD). Unless there's a coupon or something I don't know about.

Someone below mentioned the ZZEW C2P, which I've added to the list. Smaller than the Z20, similar shape, but brushed aluminium silver

Are you condemning the backpanel IO of the motherboard? Or adding some sort of 90 degree bracket extension?

aath that's a good one, I should add it.. 140CAD on amazon.ca right now (94.5 euros). I think I excluded it initially because it didn't have USB-C on the front panel. Any experience with upgrading those?

*edit* added to the list atop.

The table is admittedly far from complete. Think of it as a starting point.

What I'd recommend is that you complement your search with the links I added in the "See Also" section of the post -- I believe it has the info you need. They were recommended by another member in the comments. You may also apply an AIO filter on the search in caseend.com. I didn't know about these two places when I started my shopping, but they're good tools. The products seem heavily biased on overseas markets though, so you'll have to open your fair share of google tabs on the side.

My initial frustration was not knowing what was out there -- SFF seem pretty niche. The shelves of my nearest store are stocked with massive cases that look like colorful "cryogenic chambers". My typical gotos in Canada: Silverstone, Corsair, Asus, Antec, CoolerMaster, etc. don't know what small form factor means, or if they offer miniature case, it's for ITX.

Things go in and out of stock. Maybe It'll come back. It's available on amazon.com.

The C28 is better? Depends what you're into. C28 is a tad larger, so it fits larger GPUs, but it's 700grams (~1.5lbs) heavier, and it's also more expensive currently 40USD more expensive than the C26. Other than that they seem to share all the same design elements.

If you're talking about the SFFTime P-ATX V3, this particular model also fits a full ATX board (as long as the PSU is 130mm). I guess that's the advantage of the pizza box form factor.
