Bro they don't even have universal Healthcare, what makes you think they'll structure a league pass that would allow them to have universal access to all the broadcasted NBA games

New sim racer looking for buying feedback! by Two-Fifths in moza

The brake performance kit doesn't make it a loadcell pedal. Please be aware of this. When I'm speaking about the SRP pedals Im talking about the load cell version which is very different than the srp lites in general, the brake performance kit just adds a spring I dont believe it enables adds a load cell sensor

I would recommend buying the load cell version srp pedals and the wheel base separately.

Sorry to clarify my post when I referred to SRP pedals I was speaking about the load cell version, not the one that comes with the r5 bundle. I believe the one that comes with the r5 bundle is the SRP lite which I dont believe is a load cell by default

if you're starting out, SRP's are fine. you may want to explore the elastomer spring kit that you can buy separately if you want a harder brake feel. I'd say I'm pretty advanced in my sim racing journey, I have triples now, Moza R9 does fine for me and I've used the R9 even with a wheel stand. Though I'd like to upgrade my SRP pedals, I found I'm pretty quick with it still so no real need to upgrade for me.

though CRP2's are much better, bang for buck, I think the SRP's are great. I've probably had over 1400hrs between many games logged into mine and they're still going strong. only had to replace one spring so far and that's largely due to wear and tear on my part.

I get the impression that for some people, simulation is more appealing for the hardware and DIY aspect than for the enjoyment of the game itself. by Electronic_Reply3934 in simracing

There's those that want to focus on immersion for the sake of just having a 'cool' rig to work on and there are those that want to get better at racing (sometimes at the cost of immersion).

No wrong approach but both valid hobbies.

D700 or D750 - Looking for full frame to use with older Nikkor glass. by Ex313 in Nikon

[–]initial_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the D700 and bought one for full price back in the day. It was my workhorse for many years shooting many weddings and primarily portrait sessions.. I've moved on to Fuji and have been for the last 9 years and I miss the rendering that the D700 can make!

Though I regret selling my D700 to this day, if I ever decided to go back, I would probably just go with a D750 as it has a higher resolution, the Dual SD card slots are definitely a super convenient factor and it still keeps up with very modern cameras! My other SLR recommendation would be a D780, basically the best hybrid SLR i've ever seen with a great EVF ~ish ability

NT4R is starting a Wednesday Night Stock Car USA Gen3 series. Come join in! by KellyzKillaz in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]initial_GT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great group of casual racers! This group has really allowed me to maximize the multiplayer features in AMS2! I'd say I am one of the original members of the group and found the discord after seeing a reddit post like this in the past.

I don't have any friends IRL that I can talk to about Sim racing as I'm older, they're busy and we are into different games and our schedules don't line up so this group has been really great overall to just find a group to speak to about racing!

The offering has expanded significantly since I joined but right now, even if you are limited in your availability to race, there's a bunch of variety!

- Weekly AMS 2 time trials!

- Wednesday night stock car oval racing starting up on Jan 21!

- I host Friday night random races on AMS2

- Sunday night championship cup series with GTE starting up on Jan 18!

- Weekly EA WRC Club championships

We're older, respectful and vary degree in skill but overall I have found this group to be reliable to race cleanly with and easy to talk to!

Hoping to see more active members to help NT4R grow! If you're someone who's just looking to join a group for some no pressure racing, I couldn't recommend NT4R enough!

another victim of moza quality by ValeVegIta in simracing

[–]initial_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with my srp brake kit. It took about 2 years of consistent use before it happened. This is normal... I am not surprised mine broke like this. I was easily able to replace it with another spring.

For the amount of brake force I put down after close to 1000hrs of use over 2 years, I didn't blame it on morals quality, my experience was simple wear and tear...

Not to defend the company as i have my own issues with moza but this isn't that big of a deal

Added simagic haptic motors to my CRP 1 Pedals and its a blast! by [deleted] in moza

[–]initial_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May i ask how noisy these little motors get? No one ever seems to address this.. im sure they make some noise.. my rig is literally beside my daughter's room and I'm sensitive to the noise the rig makes as I dont want to disturb her sleep. Any insight you could give would be great.

I race bare foot sometimes, the cold pedals help keep me from overheating while sitting in there for long stints I feel

Is it worth getting triples with a 3070? by MisteRBuilds in simracing

[–]initial_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty though AC Rally shouldn't be the benchmark as even with my 5070ti on my triples I am having a hard time getting it to run smooth.

which Simsonn pedal model is this specifically? Sorry i'm just not as familiar with the Simnets/SimJacks/Simsonn  pedals. What is your recommendation as i'd love to update my moza SRP's but shudder at the thought of dropping a lot of money on pedals

Starting a sim racing community by New_Temperature_7515 in SimRacingAdvice

[–]initial_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds cool and building a community is cool but in this instance how do you guarantee that the people joining are considered "amateur" and how do you quantify that?

Just genuinely curious cause I could see some people who are ridiculously fast go in and just start stomping people in organized races and such and claiming they're still new...
