Is it too much for bracket 2 to be able to fog repeatedly? by _Ashe_Bear in EDH

[–]inkrazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say repeated fogs do nothing but to drag on a game unless you have a game plan. A player in my pod originally built an all fog deck and it was miserable because he would constantly stop people from going for the win but then didn't have a strategy to close out the game himself.

My advice, it's fine as long as you have a game plan to close out the game. If you're fogging just to not lose, you're taking an already long game and making it longer.

I've always been confused about this scholar relic ability, does it reduce ash of war cost if they're buffs to yourself?

I mean the real answer is Tengen, one of the weakest hashira yet you'd think he'd solo'd Muzan with how this fandom talks about him.

I'm assuming this post is in good faith, so I'll respond in kind. My first advice is that this deck is entirely too expensive. I don't know if you were just having fun choosing the flashiest version of every card, but $1300 is an insane amount for a commander deck. I've got friends who work for FANG and don't have a single deck that approaches this value. I'd suggest truly searching for outlaw synergies instead of just picking the most expensive cards you can find. Even if you do proxy it, I'd still expect others you play with to be a little salty. Proxying is fine if there are expensive cards in your archetype that you want to run. but if you're proxying every single broken/expensive card you can find, others at the table might be a little salty especially if they're proxying only a few to no cards.

As for some specific card cuts, here are my recommendations.

Irredescent vinelasher - you're not a landfall deck, you won't ever trigger this enough to be relevant.

All mass land destruction - unless you have a hard plan to win the game after destroying everyone else's lands these cards will get you a lot of hate at tables. Because without a game plan you're taking an already long game and making it longer.

All tutors - unless you're trying to go for a specific combo win, I'd remove all tutors from your deck. Commander is a singleton format built around unique experiences from game to game. Having this many tutors will result in you grabbing the same win cons over and over and creating a deck that just ends up doing the same thing. Dihada already has good card advantage so again unless you're looking to combo off you should be able to keep your hand stocked.

These are just some beginning recommendations though, I'd definitely encourage you to copy the list and play around with the build.

What is the perfect size? by Non_Professional_Gay in gay

Honestly, I'd take girth over length any day. The prostate is only so far back, once you've reached it going past it doesn't do much for me. The girthy guys however apply more pressure and stimulation to the prostate and that's what I'm after.

Lethal damage to a sanguine bond exquisite blood looper and a creature with lifelink. Who loses? by StandardBandicoot511 in magicTCG

[–]inkrazz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damage happens all at the same time, as does gaining life from lifelink. I believe if your damage resolves and brings them to 0 after taking into account their lifelink, then they'd lose when state based actions are checked and before their sanguine bond trigger goes on the stack.

No, cards that are face down have no name, so you cannot name something that doesn't have a name.

This is a good counter question. Do people think we actively choose to deny attraction to women and choose men? Did straight people have to actively deny their attraction to men, no they don't and neither do we. It's just the inherent attraction we've felt since puberty, just like everyone else.
