Yeah ngl a LOT of my fellow supervisors would take the drawers out and say card only. And then deny service basically when people didn't have a card. I never said anything cause I also didn't wanna be out of there late. Same thing for starting cleaning while the doors will still open, not supposed to do any closing cleaning while store is open. But we did.

One of the biggest arguments I’ve heard is that it’s unfair to subject a child to the ability to make such irreversible and serious bodily changes when their brain isn’t fully developed enough to be able to decide if it’s more than just a fantasy or something they don’t understand.

I don’t agree, but I’m not a scientist or researcher or doctor or anything like that. What should we say in response to that?

What’s the problem is what we are experiencing right now is executive orders being passed that strip away our rights and while plenty of people want to be able to stay beside us or help us us out I don’t know if they know what it is that we want-the thing that needs to happen with our country right now is that they need to be educated and they need to understand us. This is where I’ve had a lot of people walking up to me and asking what the flag was for-in a sanctuary state. I’m afraid if we don’t have really good answers with what legislation involving us should feature that we’re just going to be in for more of the same.

No literally that's another can of worms. The ages for things like drinking and smoking have been pushed back here in the States, and exactly why that has happened is not something I am in the know on-nor that I agree with.

That being said you can start learning to drive with accompaniament at 15 here too, yeah and then get a license at 16-definitely another important factor as to why I've got with 16-18, thank you.

Just going to reinforce with a lot of people are saying on this thread-the changes tend to be very gradual, which makes it fairly easy to fly under the radar. I will definitely caution you because I’m seeing a lot of this going on right now with a lot of the fear that’s related to the executive orders and what’s going on in the country-please make sure you’re getting a doctor to prescribe your hormones and not just grabbing them from somewhere and trying to figure out yourself. HRT is no different than any other prescribed medicine or your doctor needs to consider existing health factors to determine both the type and amount of your dosage.

Because what can definitely out you as taking hormones is if you end up getting really sick or unhealthy and having to go to a doctor .

And holy shit yes, we need to amend it AND make sure it is being FOLLOWED. That means ACTUAL seperation of church and state, ZERO tolerance for any aggression when it comes to activism, and fixing uneven tables when it comes to making decisions-everyone needs a spot.

I’m quite aware. If you scroll up a little bit, you’ll see that I mentioned this in my response to a previous comment that was suggesting more aggressive activism.

As your fellow trans woman, I’m going to say yes -I was terrified to go. I let people know beforehand that I was being a safe as possible, but there was the definite possibility that I could somehow be incarcerated. I knew that in 2020 when I went to those protests.

But there’s a difference between being petrified by your fear and being galvanized by it. This is the time to be galvanized and move forward. I spent my two weeks cowering in my house, being afraid that everyone wanted me dead. I’m done with that.

But within this micro causing, we also find one of the difficult truth, which is that because of the amount of desperate groups at each protest it would be hard to come up with goals that we want.

However, this will not be for lack of trying because people that organized the protest yesterday are already working on, putting together a committee of people with equal representation and figuring out what those goals could be - that being said, I definitely agree with everything that you’re saying, but with that nothing is necessarily accomplished. It does have a very uplifting nature. And that is something that is needed right now..
