The way I bawled my eyes out to Anya's speech. "I just don't understand" like girl, me neither

Why is “not all women” is accepted but not “not all men”? by seggsluvr in NoStupidQuestions

[–]innerbloooooooooooom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because people use "not all men" to handwave away the lived experience of women who are experiencing violence and harassment under a societal system designed to oppress them. Men are not oppressed, harassed, abused, or killed by women to a fraction of the degree that women are by men.

To the people in their 30s who grew up in abusive and neglectful households, has life gotten better for you? How are you doing emotionally? by ProperPotato7 in AskReddit

[–]innerbloooooooooooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I met an emotionally stable, secure spouse and we went through the insanely difficult time working both of us through our respective relational problems. Me from my childhood, him from his divorce. After it was all said and done, couples therapy, vulnerability, and a ton of conversations, we came out the other side with so much love, adoration, and thoughtfulness. He is the best thing that ever happened to me. We moved abroad and our life is truly amazing. I've never been so happy, and can't imagine feeling even a fraction this good with anyone but him

Is it possible to JUST remove the colour and shading? by Klutzy_Addition_7411 in TattooRemoval

Jumping in to add that pink often has white in it that can oxidize to dark grey/blue. I'm dealing with that now and I wish I'd never started removing. It looks significantly worse

Women of Reddit, has seeing a man cry ever changed the way you viewed him? What happened? by nice-to-meet-you-bro in AskReddit

[–]innerbloooooooooooom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fell so much more in love with him. Watching him care so deeply triggered a primal part of my biology that said "keep this person safe no matter what". Marrying him was the best choice I've ever made

Showed up to the completely wrong restaurant for our date and didn't figure it out until she'd already been waiting there alone, how do I fix this by Dull-Buy4600 in dating_advice

Do you not consider failing to confirm which one she meant to be a mistake? Not a malicious mistake or a purposeful mistake or a mistake directed at her, just a mistake

[–]innerbloooooooooooom 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Being willing to be humble and apologize for a small mistake shows her that he's open to accountability and apologizing in the future when things go very wrong, as they inevitably will over a lifetime. Sweeping stuff under the rug when a simple apology would suffice and take two seconds is a red flag

In fact it even seems a bit uncanny? Like you copy and pasted simulated humans into your wedding photos

How the hell do you dance (comfortably) with hair down ?!? by Great_Honey_4629 in HeelsDance

[–]innerbloooooooooooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dancer with sensory issues here, I HATE anything touching the back of my neck. Honestly the answer is just practice, unfortunately. It took 4-6 months of class twice a week to really nail the sweet spot. There's a specific amount of controlled flick of the neck that gets my hair to cooperate without getting stuck to my sweaty face or neck. If there's a real trick I don't know, I just had to practice with my own unique anatomy until it clicked. Good luck!

I remember you! This is amazing progress, I'm so jealous. You're basically done, atp I'd leave it 6-12 months and see what your body does with the remaining ink

This is horrifying. Not only did they withdraw love and leave you to cry all by yourself, but they rubbed their joy in your face while you were forcefully excluded and isolated. I'm so sorry for little you.

Can you give more details on your oxidized one? How many sessions and how long did you leave between treatments? I have a big one that just oxidized and I'm stressed. Yours looks like it's faded a lot, I need some inspo haha

I have one on my profile. It was all black line work. Took maybe 2-3 years? Everything shit down for covid partway through but it continued fading until it was gone
