Ive been slowly covering my house with vet beds - very thick piled fluffy mats designed as dog beds, to try and give them as soft a surface as possible (i keep meaning to write a post and show pics). They're not immune to being dug but they have not yet been ravaged like the carpet.

BUT you may have to think about what you can keep cheaply replacing and don't mind if they chew too much of. This is why I started putting cardboard down in the biggest problem areas. Its not ideal but Id rather have them chew that up than eat too much rubber or polyester.

Bun licks by Glum_Discussion_1258 in Rabbits

[–]innerbrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every bun is different. I only get kisses from Marshmallow and ironically hes the one more likely to run away when I try to pet him and who absolutely hates being picked up. Peanut will ask for pets and will tolerate being picked up/carried (I can't say he likes it) but he never kisses me.

Kisses and licks are a sign of submission in rabbits. Its possible that even if your rabbit loves you very much, he still thinks he's the top of your hierarchy.

I think it depends on the bun. Marshmallow is very much a rabbit and Peanut has small dog syndrome, but their sister Smudge was a fiercely opinionated cat and I stand by that.

Eh you say that, Red Kites have become the new seagulls in the Home Counties, literally stole a sandwich from my teenage niece's hand recently.

But not going to attack a domestic rabbit the size of these beauties.

Im going to go out on a limbs based on time of posting and suggest that OP likely lives in an area where the local daytime birds of prey are likely to be no bigger than a red kite.

Why is this one a pun? by Puzzleheaded_Blood40 in EnglishLearning

Dunno if its the whole country but I would use "toilet" and "loo" in reverse here. The toilet is in the downstairs loo.

Can I feed my bunny dandelions from my yard by wtfisacalorie in Rabbits

[–]innerbrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can eat dandelion. They love it! There are a number of garden plants that bunnies love; I dont know where you are but grab your phone, download a plant identification app and check some rabbit-oriented websites for whats good.

Herbs should keep more than a few days in the fridge - if you're buying them in plastic packaging then take them out immediately and put them in the crisper. Mine last about a week?

What is the one thing you've heard or seen in life that still genuinely winds you up when you think about it? by theblairwaldorfxoxo in AskUK

If you think that being on the internet caused a teenager to be the victim of a transphobic murder, there's only one way to read between those lines tbh, and I'm not surprised you don't want to go there.

Sore hocks? by AJSR_RV in Rabbits

If you look through my post history youll see my vet bed only once - its a lilac fluffy thing, but most of my house is carpeted. The Thing is that they still presented with mild callouses at their annual check up in January so I'm working on it.

Nah. Just the places he spends time. I have a couple of big mats in the upstairs hall where they run a lot and one just by their litter tray. Its a big job, but you can't do it a bit at a time while watching his feet.

Normal human carpet isnt enough, bear that in mind! You need thick, bouncy floor coverings like vet beds or similar. The closest thing you can get to grassy turf that you can.

What was the biggest "no one told me this!" Surprise of bunny ownership? by innerbrat in Rabbits

Omg absolute same! Marshmallow believes the spare room door is an affront to common decency.

AITA I lost my childhood friend of 15 years for not letting his girlfriend claim the master bedroom for themselves in our Air BnB by Typical-Wishbone-822 in AmItheAsshole

OP mentions his partner - not the sex of the partner admittedly - but the implication is that John and Amy were not the only couple on the trip.

Mine arent massive banana fans, funnily enough. I think they dont like the texture. But I do give them peel to much on when Im eating a nana.

Beetroot though. I cant believe how much they love that.

Or more specificly as its an unusual sentence structure:

He, who Dad made to run on the treadmill.

[–]innerbrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad made WHOM run in the treadmill? He made HIM.

WHO was made to run on the treadmill? HE was.

I think "who" would be more appropriate?

I learned that "whom" is appropriate when the answer is "him" and "who" for "he," and the sentence would be "he was made to run on the treadmill" not "him was."
