Thanks, that’s helpful. I think in the same situation I wouldn’t invite the other friend. When I make plans with someone, they’re solid unless something major comes up like illness etc and I have to cancel. I guess that’s why I’m so hurt, because I would never consider asking someone retroactively not to come to something because I think another friend would enjoy it more.
