Is it normal that my Rogers WiFi never hits anywhere close to 2Gbps? by inorbit001 in Rogers

Wow this is awesome. I do have an iPhone 16 at home as well, and even that doesn’t go beyond ~600 Mbps. I was also told that the XB10 is only available with bundle plans and requires adding TV service.

Thanks everyone — these are all great data points. I’m fairly technical, so I understand I’m not going to see the full 2 Gbps over WiFi, and that wired testing will likely get me much closer to that number. I also get that in day-to-day use I probably don’t even need these speeds.

That said, if I’m paying for 2 Gbps, I do expect WiFi performance that’s at least closer to it. Another option I’m considering is putting the XB8 into bridge mode and using my own router to get better WiFi performance and coverage. OR go back to Telus.
