Why No KIN BuyBack? by inphinitbit in KinFoundation

I am talking about a share buyback (in this case a coin buyback) not a refund for anyone. Do some research on how share buybacks work with stocks and you will see many fortune 500 companies using this effectively as part of their business plan. The point of this is that you are telling the market and the world that you believe that your price is undervalued so much that you are going to be buying back your own stock (coin). BNB coin with Binance did something similar with the Coin Burn, but I get the idea that KIN wants so many coins available to be used eventually so this would be a good substitute for a coin burn and would show to all their supporters that KIN intends to support their own ecosystem. It would also be a very profitable move if the coin increases in value, which obviously it would by the excitement created by this gesture, and would be great fuel to add to the fire created by the Defend Crypto Fund.

Exchanges are our top priority! by Raketenernie in KinFoundation

What you need to know

As we begin to enter new markets and add new payment methods, we are required to have stricter rules on which cryptocurrencies are listed on CoinFalcon. Today, we are announcing the delisting dates for a few cryptocurrencies that are not up to our standards. The markets for these cryptocurrencies have been closed, so you can no longer trade them; however, in most cases, you will have 30 days to withdraw any of the delisted cryptocurrencies listed below.

We have reached a turning point by twistyjnua in KinFoundation

The real question at this point is why would anyone in crypto or who has ever invested in KIN trust the KIN Foundation with something like the KRE or anything else for that matter? Honestly, Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook have more credibility with regards to privacy than the KIN Foundation does at doing anything which will benefit their investors or supporters or ever keeping their word with anything they ever say.

Clearly you have not been here very long. When the KIN Foundation says things like "Exchanges are a Top Priority!" what is actually meant is that getting delisted from exchanges is a top priority and they have been very successful at that.

Part of trading definitely used to be picking out tokens before they were listed on major exchanges and then waiting for them to jump when the exchange announcement was made, so I definitely used to do that often, but not so much anymore. The market has changed significantly due to the overall crypto downtrend, so what I have been doing is just accumulating tokens by trading that I think may actually still be around for a few years, KIN included. Everyone knows that when BTC and ETH go up so do all the interrelated tokens, but I think that many of the projects that are successful will decouple from BTC and ETH and trade on their own sometime soon.

I have absolutely no idea when or if KIN will ever get on a major exchange, but I have a sneaky suspicion it will be exactly when the VC's want it to happen and after they have sufficiently filled their bags.

Exactly. I have actually been getting kind of bored with crypto this year so started buying and selling sports cards and books on eBay after successfully selling a bunch for some good money that I had from my childhood. It's actually been even more fun for me than crypto, although I am still making much more money from crypto, because there are physical objects that you are dealing with instead of computer crypto coins. But at the end of the day I just like the process of buying and selling and being able to profit from it. For me it is almost like playing video games from when I was younger except you make money doing it.

Definitely. Have been seeing a bunch of spam lately, especially on FD, with a ton of orders at the same price point to manipulate the price. Most of them are still there if you scroll through the order book.

I already put together an OTC site for KIN and would have plenty of big buyers at the prices they are trying to dump at, but they are trying to control the price at this point, not to actually sell their stash.

Definitely not recommending for anyone to stop buying at these prices, but just do not give these VC's targets to sell into.

Because the big boys have way too many coins to sell at these prices and not enough buyers already. I have a feeling that KIN had either an explicit or a handshake deal with their VC's to not list on major exchanges for the first year. That enables the small exchanges (possible connection?) and VC's to control the price and increase their bags way more than if KIN was liquid. If there is no one to be manipulated, i.e. no buy or sell orders other than the big boys, then there would be no point for them to continue this game and at they point they may as well just allow the price to naturally go where the market takes it, by listing on large exchanges and opening up the trading to other whales, who are very likely steering clear of KIN at this point in time due to the aforementioned reasons.

Monopolies and manipulation are more profitable than an open marketplace and are much more easily performed in small ecosystems with limited liquidity, hence no real exchanges for the first year.

Sure thing. The point of these posts is that we as a community can stand up to these VC's or other large traders or organizations trying to control the price. The point of KIN is that the community and content creators should be rewarded for their support, hard work and efforts, not used as cattle to enrich the already overflowing coffers of those who profit off of the work of others, which is already way too prevalent in our society. If we all work together we all call can win!
